"X45, Eliminate the target."
The sound of guns echoes deep inside the forest. Frantic steps followed after the explosions.
"professor... I am sorry it turned out this way." The military man, Choi Han, apologized to the group of scholars and professors out for civilian missions.
"Don't say that..." Jour Thames said with a soft voice, "I'm the one who should apologize... this happened because you came to save us."
This rescue mission could've been successful if the informant hadn't betrayed the military. They were hoping for some miracle that could save them but it seems this is the end. The enemies were not on the militia level. They were highly trained soldiers of destruction. The number of enemies surrounding them was five more times than they were told. Their routes are completely blocked off and they attacked perfectly timed.
This was a trap to draw them from the very beginning.
Choi Han gritted his teeth and prepared himself for the worse. His entire unit has already been wiped out with him the only person who survived along with the civilians. He can see these people holding onto their rosaries, reciting their chants, or holding their respective holy books.
In this helpless situation. They are bound to die.
*clank... clank.* Choi Han raised his gun after tying it to his right left arm. He assumed his battle stance ready to fire any minute with his counted bullets. It's done or die.
The door of the room opened with a bang. However, instead of the enemy, a person emerges with a dead enemy falling on the ground. By his height, he looked like a teenage boy.
"Are you Lieutenant Choi Han?" the young voice, which sounded like it hasn't reached puberty yet echoed.
Korean? Sounds a bit clumsy but it's Korean.
"I am here to rescue you." The boy said with a low voice, preparing his gun for the assist, "bring the others and follow me."
It sounded boring and authoritative but there was a light of hope from the boy.
They walked into the prison's hallway. All of the enemy guards have been taken out. If there were this many, they should've heard something back in the cell.
"Hey." Choi Han called, "what division are you? How many are involved?"
The young voice echoed once again, "I cannot tell you... I am the only person in this operation."
Choi Han was taken aback. He was surprised and shocked to know that such a young man is running this mission all by himself.
Some enemies made Choi Han grit his teeth once more. However, the young man runs in a flash before he can move and take out the enemies all by himself. Not just fast, he stealthily took them all out!
The insane thing is - this boy took out the enemy without even using his gun!
He can hear the bored tone again, "Let's increase the pace... I will take care of the enemies... unless it's an emergency, do not use your gun."
The boy just looked cool!
Choi Han nodded and made his secret mission of covering for him and the researchers while on the run. He can't be picky even when he's treated like baggage.
Surviving is the best!
Choi Hans immediately complimented his movement with the boy.
He remembered that there was a renowned mercenary on this battlefield.
"Soo." He whispered. Mercenary Soo.
Choi Han raised the gun and but the mercenary is not stopped. He's charging all over even when the enemies are out there in the hallway! He watched the kid slide, aiming his gun with such a beautiful form in that awkward position.
He just fell in love with how he handled the gun with confidence that he'd won a head-on battle. The silencer silenced the great scene. His eyes widen when he learns that with such a risky battle style, he was able to take down enemies in just seconds.
He's a real monster. He can't help but say that. The boy was too reckless. That's not the movement of someone in the military. It was the movement of a real fighter.
"we will wait here for a minute." Choi Han looked back and saw the researchers following suit.
He applauded that this boy wasn't mindlessly running but he had calculated everything.
Black pupils. Black long hair. Clumsy sounding but correct Korean.
"time's up."
They began running again and reached the chopper waiting ahead. The boy went to the very back until the researchers got to the chopper.
"thank you very much."
The boy looked at him and ignored him.
*sssssssshhhhh!*
"GET DOWN!" the boys shouted and pulled a few of the researchers back. However, some got caught in the explosion. It's good that the chopper is still safe. "RUN!"
Gunfire ensued. It was a hundred against two. Choi Han did his best on assisting but his bullet run out immediately. He runs towards the dead bodies and took their guns and bullets while covering for the researchers.
"JOUR!" he turned and saw the redhead woman bloodied all over.
He run towards them while firing his gun and jump on the chopper, pulling them one by one. He carefully laid the redhead woman on the floor. He gazes at the boy and sees, the young man not more than sixteen fighting with his gun while bleeding profusely.
What the?
Choi Han felt that anger once in a while.
"A kid?"
As if the world is kidding him right now.
~ A year later ~
"Attention everyone." Every student looked at the black-haired student standing on the podium. The teacher gave some students warnings and went back to the introductions.
"he will be joining us from now on..." the teacher, Eruhaben said with sincerity, "this unlucky bastard is Kim Rok Soo. Be good to him."
The kid bowed properly and said, "I am Kim Rok Soo."
Meanwhile, the redhead trash frowns at this addition.
Such an unlucky bastard to get into Eru-Nim's class of all classes.
