seven: baby

Juan stops what he was doing and place the spatula he was using for the meat down. I already knew the answer I just wanted to hear him say it.

"I mean she's an amazing girl but I'm cool off of relationships right."

"But you would still want to fuck her right?"

"Yeah", he mumbles.

"Look Syd is not like that so I don't even understand why you would think about pulling some shit like that...the beans and rice ready."

I walk off shaking my head and what Juan just told me. I made it a mission of mine to protect Sydney from everything that will cause her harm. Juan is my homeboy and all but towards the end of his and Audi's relationship he was showing his ass. I'm talking about displaying another side we've never seen from him. Sydney don't need that right now and she's too young to be dealing with them games from a grown ass man. I enter my room to see Syd in there knocked out with Kota and Kai cuddled to her chest. I hear noises coming from my bathroom and see Thanos messing with the toilet paper.

"Thanos no!"

He made a complete mess and guess what he finna clean it up. I bring the trash can near him and he trying to give me the puppy eyes but I'm not buying it. We started training him because Syd was against sending him off to a puppy camp that would do it. She babies him too much and Thanos eating it up.

"Why you got my baby cleaning up this mess!"

I look up to see her hair all over the place and she's in one of my warriors tshirts.

"He made the mess he gotta clean it up."

Once Thanos gets the last piece she picks him up placing kisses all over his face.

"My baby I don't know why you're daddy made you do that."

"Because he has to learn baby."

I immediately suck my lips in and close my eyes. I can't believe I let that out.

"Well he's just a baby", she pouts.

Thank the heavens she didn't hear me. I walk over to them kissing his head before laying down with Kota and Kai. Giving them both neck scratches causing them to purr. Syd walks over to the bed and cuddles close to me with Thanos on her chest. This would be a picture worthy moment right here. We look like a little family cuddled up in the bed with our fur babies. My eyes look up and I see Syd already staring at me and smiling. I want this girl to be mine like real bad. She's just so beautiful to the point if I stare too long I get hard. What Juan said though kind of messed me up because what is he gets in the way of things and ruins my chance. Juan and I have been boys ever since I came to Golden State. I would just hate that a girl would be the reason to us falling out.

By now we are all eating dinner together at the table. The tension was so thick you could cut with a steak knife and Sydney peeled it. Out of my peripheral her eyes keep darting between me and Juan as her eyebrows scrunch together.

"Are hall good?"

"Yup", me and him say in unison.

"Liar liar pants on fire", she sings.

We both start laughing at how she is and shake our heads.

"We just had a little disagreement while cooking but we good right JP?"

"We good", I smile and do our handshake.

I just hope he knows not to try anything or at least run the shit by me first.

"So how was everybody's day today? Don't be acting shy because we're doing this everyday during dinner time and after y'all's games."

"My day was good", I smile.

"My day was good as well and going to the grocery store with you was fun as well."

Sydney gives him a small smile and that was it. I squint my eyes because she absolutely loves Juan so I want to be messy and know why she didn't say it was fun too. After we finish dinner we wash all of the dishes and put them in the drying rack. I pick up Kai and Kota and Thanos follow. I decided to sleep in my room tonight so Syd can have her bed to herself. As I was changing into my sleep clothes Syd poked her head in smiling.

"Can I sleep in here please?"

"I thought you wanted to have your bed to yourself."

"No my little babies and big baby in here."

The blood rushes to my cheeks and I look down to hide my face.

"Ooooo I made you blush", she teases.

"You did almost made me drop my draws", I laugh.

She laughs as I put her bonnet on that she keeps in my bathroom. Her hair is in her natural state so I don't have to worry about wrapping it or anything. Handing her my durag I take a seat in the edge of my bed so she can tie it. As soon as she finished Juan walked in with a bag of chips in his hand already in his pjs and durag.

"Y'all look just alike it's scary."

"We having another sleepover?"

He gives puppy eyes similar to Thanos and I know Syd is about to fold and say yes. I don't mind the sleepovers at all since I know Juan is still adjusting being in a new place. She looks over to me and I nod my head giving in as well.

"I just have one rule though."

"What?"

"Y'all can't not lay y'all's head on my shoulder they're heavy and y'all be snoring in my ear."

We both shrug our shoulders and get under the covers letting Syd be in the middle.

"Goodnight guys."

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."
