Hospitals, Breakups and Breakdowns

Calum's P.O.V

The boys and I were playing FIFA when I felt my phone start vibrating. Looking down at my caller I.D I saw that it was Maddi. I felt my heart start to race as I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked, probably sounding surprised considering we haven't talked much lately.

"Kenzie is in the hospital and she is unconscious and you guys really need to get down here like fast." She mummbled into the phone and her small sniffles made me realize that she was crying. I hung up the phone and started to pack as the guys stared at me with curiosity lurking in their eyes.

"Kenzie is in the hospital unconscious and we are leaving like right now." I half demanded, half explained. All the guys jumped off the couch and started packing. I really noticed that Luke was way out of it, his eyes were red and puffy from crying but I could actually see the hurt in his eyes. He didn't want to talk about it though, and I was okay with that as long as I knew that she was going to be okay.

Maddi's POV

"I just called the guys they are on their way they will be here early tomorrow." I quickly explained to Jade who was currently falling asleep on one of the hospital chairs. So I just walked towards Kenzie and sat down beside her. I started to hum and fall asleep but she never moved from her place on the small bed. My eyes started to feel heavy and soon the darkness consumed me and I drifted off to sleep.

Luke's POV

When we arrived at the hospital Maddi and Jade both weren't there so we all walked into the room and I sat beside her lifless body. She looked so peaceful you know except for the broken nose and cut lip. I leaned in towards her a pressed a soft kiss to her lips, that was when I saw it. One small single movement caught my eye, her eyes opened.

"Luke what is going on where are Maddi and Jade and why am I back in the hospital I just got out of my wheelchair." Kenzie asked slowly but I could here the fear in her eyes. Her words hit me like a loaded gun, wait how could she not remember me. Then that was when her gaze shifted between me a Calum so he ran up hugged her which made me even more furious then I already was so I ran. I bolted out the door with tears streaming down my face and somebody hot on my heels. Finally when I got to the doors of the hospital I burst into a heavy amount of tears, I pulled myself down onto the cold floor. Then a small figure curled up next to me, Maddi. She held me close as I cried into her shoulder and she cried into mine. I hated that she was out here comforting me when her friend was in that hospital room but I couldn't help it. I love Kenzie and it kills me to think that she doesn't remember that she loves me back. What I never thought of is how Maddi was taking this, her best friend only remembers dating her boyfriend. Why did I have to be so selfish all of the time.

Kenzie's POV

It felt like forever and Calum was still hugging me, holding onto me for dear life. What I couldn't shake out of my head was why Luke got so upset earlier, I mean I wasn't dating him... right?

"Calum can you let go of me now I can't breathe" I giggled while gently pushing him off of me. A small blush appeared on his face as he sat down in the chair next to the bed.

"Cal I need you to tell me why Luke stormed out earlier." I asked curiously yet cautiously.
