She curled the last strand of hair and smiled to herself. She set down the curler, looked down and blushed.
"Deep breaths," Sam said to herself breathing heavily for a coulee seconds before swiping her hands down the front of her elegant dress a few times. Sam finished strapping on her high heels when she heard 'Ding Dong.' She couldn't help but smile yet again. This was going to be amazing.
She opened up the front door to see Jensen standing confidently in his suit, with one hand behind his back. His eyes widened slightly, but he tried to keep Sam from seeing. "Sam, you look stunning," he said reaching out his hand. Sam took his hand and took a couple steps out of the house. Jensen brought the other hand forward with a graceful, white corsage. He tied it around her wrist, and when he finished He leaned down and placed a kiss upon the back of Sam's hand. Her cheeks turned crimson. "Shall we go?" He asked. "We shall," she joked.

Jensen opened the door of the car, looking into Sam's eyes as they filled with amazement. He lead her out of the car and slammed the door shut. They proceeded inside along with the other couples. The gym sparkled with streamers and lights that glared off of the shinny dresses. The night was young, and the dance seemed dull. "I'll be right back," Jensen smiled over acting, "do not disappear my love." "Wouldn't dream of it, Romeo," Sam remarked. His name echoed in her mind. What if he's my Romeo, she wondered, but was snapped out of her daydream by the quiet screeches of her friends. "Oh my god, Sam!" "Hey, Erica!" Sam hugged Erica. "Your dress is beautiful, Sam." "Thank you, I love yours too. It's elegant."
~Jensen by the DJ~
"Hey, can you play this?" He asked
"Sure." The DJ replied. Jensen's palms grew sweaty, and his heart was beating faster and faster. He made his way back to Sam where she was talking to her best friend Erica. The song began to play, 'If my heart was a house' by Owl City and Sam's face light up. After all, this was her favorite song. "May I have this dance," Jensen requested.
She placed her hand in his, as he led her to the middle of the dance floor. Jensen turned and faced Sam. Their fingers gracefully connected. He placed his hand on her back, and she placed her around his neck. They began to sway back and fourth to the pace of the music. Most of the couples around them began to leave the dance floor leaving almost a circle in the center for them to share this moment. The pace increased, and they followed the beat. Their feet moved around each other dancing in perfect harmony. Sam's heartbeat began to increase. He guided her step-by-step to the music listening to every word. She looked into his ocean blue eyes almost being able to swim in them and get lost for hours. He stared back into her jade colored eyes like a cool, joyful springtime. They leaned in and their lips connected. The song ended, but their hearts did not. They pulled apart while their souls flourished.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Sam's alarm blared and she awoke from her perfect dream.
