Jennie R.J. Kim,

We have three cities down.

Milyang, Jeolla – pronounce it correctly, now – was maybe the closest thing to paradise I've ever experienced in the Southern S.K. At least, so far. I don't want to go so far as to say it's DEFINITELY going to be on the list, but... really, it's going to be on the list. I'm attaching you some pictures from sunset on the coast, because sweet baby J! Everything was super accessible, they really have taken the time to highlight the selling points of their city.

The little inn I'm staying in is phenom. It's just nestled in on the edge of town, so it's quiet, but so gorgeous. My favorite part, though, is Buttons, the cat. She has three legs and half a tail, and just, you know, lurks around. She chases off pests and upkeeps the property, she's not unfriendly, but she doesn't like to cuddle up to people – she followed me at a polite distance and would stop as I stopped. She started coming closer and closer to me the longer I was around during the day – According to Ijun (she's the manager, we ended up having lunch together while I got some inner scoop on the town) she's very attached to the family who owns the inn, but even when they try to take her in, she never gets too close for long. But never really leaves, either.

Buttons... reminds me of someone.

Okay, down to the true business of this email is this – I've been gone for two days, and you have yet to email me.

You can't deny it, Jennie. We're friend-somethings, now. Which means, we keep in touch. You're usually so steadfast; don't let me down, now.

Especially because there are things we should maybe start to discuss here... hmm?

Regards,

Lisa Manoban

Glad Milyang is going well. Hopefully the other cities will be as easy to nail down.

But why are you emailing me? It's the twenty-first century. You have my phone number.

P.S. I am NOT a cat.

Jennie –

Is it the twenty-first century?! Jeez, you think someone would have told me. We are using email because you said you would email me, the other night before dinner. And again before you practically ran out the door to avoid me (don't think I didn't know that was what you were doing, especially because both of my parents looked a little surprised and put out that you weren't sticking around for after-dessert pinochle). I know you were being facetious at the time, but really, I can't guarantee that I will have cell service – actually, most of the time, I can guarantee that I won't. I can guarantee that ninety percent of the time, I will have internet. Hence the email.
