My name is Avalon Light, right now I'm sneaking out of my house. Not because my 18 and want too go to a party, because I want to get away from my parents arguing.
I slowly pushed open the French doors that led to the wrap around porch, that led all around our old 19 century farm house. I slowly pulled on my cow hide boots, and finshed buttoning my plaid shirt. I looked up and looked across our farm land. My father herded horses, do we had one barn near our house with a pasture that fell back into the woods. Beyond the woods thier was 4 barns which my father used as his main barns, they had many pastures in that big clearing thier was also lots of pastures and other barns spread out threw the woods.
I sighed and swung my legs over the back porch gently swinging myself down. I hunched down so my parents wouldn't see me and I ran into the barn. I slowly made my way over to
the barn loft latter and climed it. I took a deep breath and smelt the hay. I just loved the smell of hay, horses, grain. The barn felt like a safe haven for me.
