Along For The Ride

Chapter 5

i held my breath as i attempted to slide the sheet under him. "Come on buddy left your head up come on." i breathed under my breath. he slowly lifted up hiw head and laid it on the sheet. i manuvered around him slowly slideing the sheet towards his withers.

i finally got the sheet under him and smiled slightly knowing that he was one step closer to being safe. "good boy! Good Boy!". I said scratching behind his ears.

"Ok, Ava were going to send you the ropes now." Dr.Hyder called down to me. Looking up i called back "Ok!" the doctor threw the frist rope down i took it and tied it securely to the loop near his head. taking the secound rope i tied it to the other loop near the horses head securing it with a clip. i slid down the incline and tied the two back ties. taking the last rope i tried to slide it under his bellie and underthe sheet but i couldnt. "Come on boy i need you too lift up your stomach for me, so i can tie this around you" iwhispered too him. what i didnt expect was for him to actually do it.

he lifted up his stomach just enough for me to get the rope under him. i slid it under him as fast as i could not wanting to cause him any pain. i tied it securing the rope, looking up i signaled to my dad. telling him to attatch the ropes to his truck so we could haul the stallion up.

"Hear tie this rope around your waist." Kat called "ill help pull you up so you can keep him calm." she said. "Ok!" i called back. catching the rope she threw down and tieing it around my waist.

"READY SET GO!!!!" Dr.Hyder called to my dad as he started his car and preshed the gas.
