Along For The Ride

Chapter 10

"Ava, Lily im home!" my dad called threw the hoouse i looked up from the finished table and ran too give my dad a hug. my dad chuckled and pulleddwalked me into a bear hug, then walked over and gave my mom a peck on the cheek. its so annoying how they can go from mad at each other to in love in a matter of hours.

we all sat at the table and my dad said grace. mom and dad started some small talk about the weather and other junk. i started eating savouring the lemon juice. i waited and waited for my mom too say what her surprise was i just couldnt take it anymore, "MOM WHATS THE SURPRISE!!" i yelled across the table. they both froze and looked at me in shocked, i turned beat red and looked down. she burst out laughing wipeing at her eyes, soon both me and my dad were laughing.

"Well" she said once our laughter had died down. "me and your dad have been fighting lately, and i think you should both know why." i looked up at her puzzled what did she mean? she said "Im pregnant." i gasped, im finally going to have a sibling!!! "Oh my gosh!!!!!! im gonna have a liitle brother or sister!!!!" i yelled. my dad laughed and turned to my mom, "Thats why you,ve been so hormonea!!!" he exclaimed, laughing.

my mom just smiled and they hugged. i rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone under the table, texting Kat that my mom was pregnant. she was thrilled. i laughed at one of her messages, earning for my parents to stare at me like i was crazy. "Ummmmmm inside joke?" i offered. mom looked at me unbelieveing. i smiled at her and quickly finished eating.

"can i be excused?" i asked my parents, they nodded and i put my plate in the kitchen, heading upstairs. i walked into my attack room and sighed sinking into my bed. i decided that i should get ready for bed show i walked to my closet shrugging off my clothes and pulling on my pajama bottoms and tank top i walked over too my french doors and opened them walking into my balcony and leaning against the railing.
