Along For The Ride

Chapter 7

"Good Boy!!" i called scratching him behind the ears. he nickered and rubbed his head into my chest making me laugh. i smiled and tied the lead rope to the hold and rubbed behind his ears one more time before steping out. i picked up the net ant tied it behind him, then lifted the trailer door with the help of Kat.

"Hes beautiful, i think you just found a new horse" she said smirking. I smiled and shrugged. she was right i just found a horse that i had a connection too, a horse i wanted to train. "Im going to drive to vthe house barn with the doctor, you girls ride back." my dad called. "Ok" me and Kat said in unison.

We looked at each other and laughed, swinging our legs over our horses and untieing them. i waved to my dad as he drove off down the dirt road. "Race?" Kat asked, "Duhhh!" i yelled at her. we walked onto the road and lined up. i adjusted myself in the saddle, lifting myself up and shortening my reins.

"Ready......set......GO!!!!" Kat yelled. We both broke out into a canter evening out into a gallop and ran down the hill. i pulled Scout over to the side and jumped over a small ditch, smiling at the feeling of the wind on my face and sensation of flying. Kat started to catch up too me and did a half hault, slowing down Scout untill we were neck and neck we were getting closer to the ending of the woods.

i pulled scout over again and jumped landing about a stride in front of Kat winning. "Sooooo not Fair!!!!" she wined adviously wanting to win. i laughed and turned to face her to answer back when thier was a horrible winnie coming from the barn. i whirled around and galloped up too the barn, stoping in time to see the stallion rearing at my dad. who was trying to lead him out of the trailer.
