Seventeen|| Can I steal your Girl?

Ten minutes.

We've been in this car for ten whole minutes and the tension is killing me.

I don't know where the heck Parker is taking us, but if we spend another minute in this vehicle in silence, I am going to jump out of this car.

"You must be Ellie," Seth finally said from the back seat.

Hallelujah! I won't have to jump out of the car!

Despite the irrational thoughts in my head, I returned the boy's smile and nodded. "That's my name. Don't wear it out."

Seth's eyes sparkled as I said the words and his smile amplified. "Parker talks an awful lot about you," he murmured.

The smile quickly left my face and I looked at Parker from the corner of my eye.

His hands were gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were white. Not to mention that his jaw was still clenched.

Either his fingers were going to have to be amputated from the loss of blood or his teeth were coming off from the pressure he was putting on them.

This guy is going to have serious health problems some day.

Seth's smile then turned into an exact replica of his brother's smirk. "Yeah, he says you're extremely paranoid and that you're a pain in the ass."

My eyes widened and a gasp left my lips. I scowled at Parker.

His lips quirked up and he glance at me. "What? It's true, muffin."

Muffin? Ah, hell no, who the hell does this guy think he is? What does Jenna even see in him?

Jenna's warning rang in my head at the sudden thought.

Just stay away from him.

Dang, I really need to stop living like Larry. If there's anything Spongebob has thought me is to not live like Larry. It does some things to you.

"No, Ellie and I aren't together. Unfortunately."

I snapped out of my trance by the sudden statement. Wait, what?

"Does that mean I can steal your girl?" Seth asked.

No, wait, what? Did he just quote One Direction?

"Did you just seriously quote One Direction?" Parker questioned, almost as if reading my thoughts.

Seth smiled shyly and his face flushed a crimson color. "At the hospital, there's this girl who likes them," he explained as he stared down at his shoes.

Parker smirked almost knowingly and winked at Seth through the review mirror. "Nice."

I snorted. Boys.

Parker suddenly turned, leading us to a gigantic white building with the words Children's Hospital on them.

The car soon came to a halt and I could see that Parker's smile was immediately wiped off his face.

Seth was still smiling though. It nearly ripped his face in half. Something told me he was only doing it to not upset his brother any further.

"Well, this is my stop. Nice to meet you, Muffin," Seth mocked as he threw his brother a small smirk. "I'll see you later, Park."

Seth opened the car door and held a hand up when Parker tried to help him out. "I've got this. You can go home. Mom and dad must be worried sick. You can go tell them the news."

He slammed the door shut and a nurse ran towards him with a wheel chair in tow.

Parker cleared his throat as he watched his brother enter the hospital and pressed on the gas.

Once again, we meet again, awkward silence.

My arch nemesis. There will be a time when I will get over this teenage phase and I will no longer see you.

"Seth was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago. Acute Leukemia to be exact. I was fifteen at the time," Parker started weakly.

I nodded, encouraging him to continue.

"It started with the bruising. At first, I thought that it was a bully or something so I spoke to him about it. When Seth denied it, I left it alone. Then he would suddenly get very tired for no reason. He started sleeping a lot and he could barely climb the stairs.

"It didn't bother me much, I figured that he stayed up all night or something. Then he started to have nose bleeds and that's when I drew the line. I told dad and he sent Seth to this hospital."

I looked at Parker, who was scowling at the road as if it had just told him it was going to murder him.

"I went to visit him today and I spoke to Dr. Edwards. Turns out, Seth's body isn't reacting to the chemo."

I gasped and turned fully in my seat to face Parker. "Is that why you were so upset this afternoon?" I questioned.

"Yeah," he smiled sadly, "He's got three months tops or so Dr. Edwards says."

I sat down correctly and shut my eyes tightly.

Something about Seth's attitude told me that he wasn't afraid to die. He was terrified for his brother. He was afraid that when he left this world, Parker would eventually lose himself.

And honestly, so was I.

Guess there is more to the bad boy than is originally thought.

Author's Note

Heck to the yeah!

I found my headphones which is good for me but bad for the Gray family.

To all of you guessing if I'm going to kill off Seth, my answer to you is I don't know.

Every chapter in this story is completely improvised. My inspiration comes from stuff that happens to me, my friends or that I get off of cable television.

Not that I'm ripping anyone of...

Anyway. Are you getting those feels?

"Are you feeling it now, Mr. krabs?"

Farewell.
