Sophia POV
It was the first day of summer which means a lot of baseball. As usual I was the first person at the sandlot so I was just throwing a ball in the air and catching it. "Yo Ace!" yelled out Benny. The boys call me Ace because I'm good at pretty much everything. "Wassup guys."I said. Multiple 'Hey's' and 'Hi's' rung out. That's when Kenny yelled"Are we gonna play ball?" Which everyone responded to by running to their respective bases.
Benny was up to bat and gave Kenny a signal to pitch. To which he threw a fastball. Benny easily hit the ball which I caught and threw to Squints. We kept throwing the ball to get Benny out it did not work. The game continued liked this for a while. That's when I noticed a kid maybe 11 to 13 years old. Not only did I notice that but also a ball flying toward him. "OH SHIT WATCH OUT!" I yelled. The boys all turned to look at me and followed my gaze to the kid. "LOOK OUT" we shouted.
