𝕮larisse Hightower was born to Otto Hightower as the youngest daughter. She is the last child to be born from the late Lady Hightower, making Clary grow up to be sheltered and protected by her sister and brothers, and most importantly her father. That is shortly after her mother's death, she travels to Kingslanding with the newly appointed Hand.
She is the first to befriend Rhaenyra, seeing as they were both close in age. Later Alicent joins and together the three were thick as thieves and close to the world they live in.

Aemma Arryn passes away along with Baelon.
When Alicent marries King Viserys, Clarisse sticks close to Rhaenyra, feeling betrayed and outcasted by her own family due to what their actions led to. She feels distant from her father and eventually sees him as he truly is when he demands that Alicent wear her mother's favorite dress and comfort the King.
In the four years, Rhaenyra and Clarisse have developed feelings for one another. Their feelings soon extend to Daemon Targaryen, the Rouge Prince. One night at the brothel led to another, leading to Daemon leaving, and Rhaenyra as well out of anger for his actions.
Clarisse falls into bed with Ser Harwin, a Knight from the City Watch. Rhaenyra had lost her maidenhood to Ser Criston, the sworn shield.
This caused Rhaenyra to confess her undying love for Lady Clarisse Hightower. That the night she shared with Ser Criston was a mistake. Clarisse, being the reasonable and compassionate girl forgave her.
The two began their relationship in secret until Viserys I had arranged her marriage with Ser Laenor.
In order to protect Clarisse from marrying an old Lord like Jason Lannister, Rhaenyra demands her father that Otto Hightower be punished and sent away for sparking the rumors about Daemon, Clary, and her fucking at the brothel.
Harwin confronts the two the day after and offers Clarisse's hand in marriage with Rhaenyra's approval. Which Rhaenyra agreed to for the sake of still being together. Ser Laenor, her cousin preferred men rather than women.
Daemon is left without his Visenya and Rhaenys.
The Rouge Prince was a jealous man so seeing his two intended brides that he desired to marry other men was enough to seal his coffin. His older brother demanded that in order to establish a stronger bond with the Velaryons, he marry Laena Velaryon.

Ten years later, Clarisse Strong is happily married to Ser Harwin: Commander of the City Watch, and in love with Rhaenyra behind closed doors. The years that go by only distance her away from Alicent. But that didn't mean that she stopped talking to her nephews, mostly Aemond and Helaena.
She has two sons and one daughter with Harwin.
The death of Ser Harwin made Clarisse and Rhaenyra pack up their belongings and take their children away from the whispers of the Keep. Not long after they learn that Laena Velaryon and the death of her son, passed away a dragon rider death.
Clarisse travels to Harrenhal to lay Harwin and Lyonel to rest before making her travels to Driftmark. She meets Daemon again for the first time in years and she and Rhaenyra end up rekindling the love they once shared years ago.
An incident with the children where Luke cuts out Aemond's eye causes a huge rift between the two sisters.
Clarisse ends up finally marrying Daemon and Rhaenyra in the old ways of Valyria.
