It had been a long few days since the talk with the Cullen's. Between, training, keeping an eye out for what's going to happen next and the constant harassment from the Cullen's, Nia had never been more stressed. She was terrified that something would happen to the people she cared about the most, especially Embry and despite the fact she knew he could handle himself, she still worried he would get hurt.

"I hate waiting." Nia groaned as she sank further into the sofa.

The whole Pack had left early that morning to get ready for the Battle. All the imprints, including Charlie, Marianna and Sue, had gathered in her house, while the people they cared about were far away from the Battle. The last thing they wanted was for more innocent people to get caught in the crossfire.

Emily laughed, "We all do but you know its the safest place for us all to be and it means the boys are less stressed." No one had really slept the night before, knowing what was coming but it was easier knowing they were all together.

"Why couldn't I have gone with them?" Seth pouted. The Pack didn't trust that the Cullen's wouldn't do anything to hurt their imprints so they had Seth keep the imprints safe and run around the perimeter to make sure there wasn't a threat lurking around. The boy had not been happy to be away from the action but he was giddy that Sam trusted him enough to keep the imprints safe.

Nia giggled, "I know its boring but thank you for keeping us safe." She knew the young wolf didn't want to miss out on the action but he was doing a pretty good job at keeping them safe.

"You're welcome." Seth grinned as he puffed out his chest. Everyone laughed at the young wolf causing him to pout. He knew they didn't mean it maliciously but it wasn't fun to be the brunt of the joke. "I'm going to run the perimeter again." He spoke with a huff.

"You know we're just joking, Seth, right?" Kim giggled. He continued to huff as he ran outside to phase.

"He's a good kid. You did real good with him, Sue." Nia smiled at the older woman. The family had been through a lot, especially with Harry dying but they did it together and weren't afraid to ask for help. The whole community had come together to support them and they are surviving.

Sue held the hand of the young seer, "Thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me to hear that."

"I mean it wholeheartedly. You have an amazing family."

"Don't let Seth hear you say that, it'll get to his head."

The last thing she wanted was for everyone to be in danger because of her

The last thing she wanted was for everyone to be in danger because of her. That's why she was stood in the middle of the woods. That's why no one knew where she was. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if something happened to the people she cared about. It was her duty to protect the Tribe.

"I'm glad you knew I was serious."

Nia scoffed, "Unlike you, I'm not a coward."

Edward growled as he sped towards to her before wrapping his hand around her neck, "You don't get to talk about me like you know me. Because of you everyone has abandoned me. It's because of you that I lost Bella. My family have turned their backs on me. This is all your fault." He screamed at her before throwing her against a tree. He wanted to ruin her like she had ruin his life.

Nia had gotten a vision early of Edward killing the imprints. He had warned Nia that if she didn't face him, he would kill the imprints one by one until he got what he wanted. He had made it clear that he didn't care for the consequences. So Nia did what she had to do to protect everyone. She knew the Pack and her family would be pissed at her for doing what she had done but she trusted that they would get to her in time.

She grunted as she slowly stood up, "I didn't do anything. You forgot that there are consequences to your actions. You disregarded those around you and didn't care how you made them feel. The only one to blame for all of this is you." She knew she had to keep him talking, buy herself some more time. She knew Embry could feel everything that she was going through and it wouldn't be long now until the Pack came running.

Edward glared at her as he once again ran towards her, grabbing her arm and twisting it, "You know nothing. If you hadn't interfered with my plans then this wouldn't have happened. Bella wouldn't have left me and my family wouldnt have turned their backs on me."

Nia screamed as her arm broke before looking at him with a glare, "You did this to yourself."

Edward clearly did not like what she said and threw her against another tree before grabbing her by the hair, brining her face close to his, "This is your fault."

She continued to grunt in pain as she tried to labour her breathing while Edward continued to have a tight grip on her hair. She chuckled with a smirk, "Sounds like someone having trouble with self-accountability." She knew she was slipping, the pain slowly becoming too much but she was not about to let him win.

"You know nothing." He growled as he wrapped his hand around her neck, cutting of her breathing.

Nia took a deep breathe, trying to get air into her lungs, "I know enough." Edward snarled at her before kicking against another tree. He took a step towards her before he stopped. It was over and they both knew it.

The Pack was here.

"I'll see you on the other side, bitch." Nia growled before everything went dark.
