"Sup bitches." Nia grinned as she walked into Sam's house. She had been there multiple times and she loved the homey feel of it all.
"Nia!" Paul yelled as he walked towards her before picking her up into a tight hug. Paul was her favourite, even if she didn't want to admit it. He just had a way with words and he got her. Through everything, he was always there and she couldn't be more grateful. He was like a big brother to her and it made her miss her own brothers a little less, even if they did constantly argue and tease each other.
Nia grinned as he finally placed her down, "I've missed you too, stupid. Now, I really need to talk to you all."
"Who is she?" A voice asked from behind Paul. Nia hadn't heard the voice before so she was curious. She took a step away from Paul, looking to where the voice came from but when she made eye contact with him, everything froze.
Nia couldn't explain it but in that moment, everything felt right. She saw her future flash before her eyes with the handsome stranger but she wasn't scared, if anything, she was relieved. She had found the one person she knew would never leave her and would always care about her, protect her no matter what. Nia knew she would do the same for him, he was her everything and she knew he deserved the world and she'd make sure he got it.
"Hi, I'm Nia."
"Hi, I'm Embry." He took a moment to admire her beauty before replying. He knew the rest of the Pack were staring at him but he didn't care. He had finally found his imprint. As she stood in front of him, he couldn't understand how someone like him got lucky with such a beautiful woman. From everything the Pack had told him about her, she was strong and smart, more than he could have every asked for.
"What are you doing here, Nia?" Sam asked, interrupting the moment Nia and Embry were having. Part of her wanted to smack him but she knew she was here for a reason.
Nia sat down next to him on the table, taking a deep breath before continuing, "Something's coming."
"What do you mean?" Jared asked. It had taken her a moment to realise she had completely forgotten about Jared. He, like Paul, was the older brother she had never asked for. He was great at giving her the advice she needed and was always a shoulder to cry on. They had quickly become her family. She did have older brothers but they were always away so she was glad to have Sam, Jared and Paul in her life.
Nia blew raspberries in frustration, "I don't know how to explain it. I feel like something bad is coming. I've been having glimpses of a redhead vampire but it's more than that. I feel like someone is going to get hurt. I can feel the conflict, the danger and I don't know what it is. I don't have a clear image yet and it's frustrating. I can't sleep and I'm always distracted. I don't want to worry you but I feel like you deserve an explanation."
Sam placed a hand on Nia's hoping to calm her down, "We've got this. It's our duty to protect humans and we will be vigilant. Don't worry too much. We got this."
"You know I can't help it." Nia scoffed.
"We know, little wolf. We've got this." Sam reassured.
Nia sighed, "I know, I'm just afraid that everything is going to change soon. Changes are coming and they're not all good."
