Chapter 6

     I wake up at exactly 7o'clock in the morning, to the louder noise of my alarm. I suddenly turned it off, wondering why Mom didn't wake me up, since she's my walking alarm clock every morning. Maybe she wasn't home yet, I answered my mind.

I hurriedly take a shower & dress up, before walking downstairs to prepare my breakfast. But it was already set, there were sandwich with bacon & a glass of hot chocolate placed on the table. Beside was a note, I picked it up & read it "I'm sorry honey, I didn't wake you up. I have to leave early for work, so I just left you, your breakfast.Take care on your way to school. Don't forget to ring me up if there was a problem. See you later ... Love Mom."
I sighed as I eat my breakfast, I didn't get to see Mom yesterday, she's been so much busy in her work that I left unattended. I quickly finished eating & washed the dishes before brushing my teeth. After that, I grabbed my bagpack to make it sure that i have placed my keys & phone inside, before I hurriedly left home.

I walked past again to our school & upon entering the gate, I saw some students distributing a paper. As I passed by,, someone approached me, "Hi I'm Jobelle Mckenna, I wonder if we we're Classmates", she said smiling. By the way, "I am the campaign manager of Winter Grey', please vote him for President", she said while giving me a paper.

I nodded in response, & continue walking not bothering to say my name because I knew she's busy enough to asked.

I find Macy' on the other side of the building, as I approached her, she smiled sweetly at me.

"Good morning bestzie, how are you?"she asked.

"I'm not really fine best, I didn't see Mom this morning, she just left so early" I said sadly.

"That really sucks best, but cheer up, it isn't the end of the world," she said jokingly.
"I know that she did it just for you too, they have to worked really hard to prepare for your college degree," she explained.

"Yeah' maybe, so where are we going, where will the election be held?" I asked her.

"I think it's on the gymnasium, that was just the huge place to occupied the whole Senior's population, so come on' let's go in there," she said dragging me to the gymnasium.

Upon registering our names inside, we find a seat at the 2nd row of the pavement. I saw the popular boy on the 1st row,together with his group of friends. He was looking on our direction, probably to my best friend. But Macy' seems so occupied on her phone to noticed the stares.

"Best, I called her. She looked at me with a question on her eyes.

"Winter Grey, is looking at you." I said gazing to the direction of the popular boy.

"Oh' yep' best,eventually, I see it, but just don't pay attention to them" she said eyeing her phone again.

"Uhm' Okay, whatever you said" I told her.

I occupied myself with the "Candy Crush game on my phone, when I heard someone spoke on the microphone.

"Goodmorning ladies & gentlemen, I'm Ms. Kristin Harris & we have here our school head Ms. Aprille Woods." pointing to the not so old woman setting behind her.

"As you all know, we are gathered here today, to conduct our Senior officers Election, for this year & I invite our school head to witness this event. The 1st nomination is for the position of President. Anyone could nominate & you can cast your vote later, so be wise in choosing your leaders. Did you understand, Ms. Harris asked loudly.

"Yes teacher" we answered her in unison.

"Okay, then let's start,she said excitedly.

"The nomination is now open for President, any nomination just raise your hand," the teacher said.
