"Here in my Heart" (On Hold)

Chapter7

     "Mom are you in?" I shouted from the door."

"In the kitchen honey," she said back.

I hurriedly entered the door & went straight to the kitchen to find her.

     "Hi mom, how are you? I didn't see you for a day & you left me early this morning," I said sadly while hugging her.

"Really sorry honey, you know where work is the thing, I have to leave early. I attend to some emergencies,  that's why I tend to be out for longer." She said, while patting my back.

"Uhm ok mom, but next..." she cut me off. "But anyway  honey, since I'm early today, I would like to asked you out, because one of our major sponsor in my work, conducted this so called dinner party on her house. So she invited all the employees & it's family as well. So I'm really glad, I can take you there this time," she said happily.

     "That's great mom, so what time are we leaving? " I asked excitedly to her. 

"Before 7pm honey, the assembly time was probably 8pm, so go & prepare yourself. I have some errands to make before we leave, she told me.

    
     I went upstairs & open my dresser to look for a suitable dress for the said dinner.  Mostly my dresser we're composed of jeans, shirts, leggings or shorts, that's why I'm struggling on what to wear now  because I don't have many dresses for a formal events like this. So, I choose a red strapless dress that 'Macy has given to me on my 15th b-day, & because I didn't gain enough  weight, I think the dress still fits my figure.
I take a relaxing shower because I still have enough time. Then I blow-dry my hair, curled it up, just the bottom part to make it more presentable with the dress. I apply a small amount of make-up & lip gloss to finished it all. I looked myself in a mirror & when I'm convinced of with the way I looked,  I fixed my things on a sling bag.

"Honey, are you ready? We are leaving in a minute" my mom yelled downstairs.

"I'm coming mom, I answered back while spraying myself with my favorite 'Tommy girl perfume.

"Okay, I'll see you in the car," mom said back. 

I simply closed the door of my room  & walked downstairs in the garage. Upon entering Mom's car, she looked at me surprisingly.

"Is that you honey? I can't barely recognized you. You looked different tonight," she said smiling at me.

"Thanks mom," I muttered.

     We drived almost 45mins. to the city, where the house of the dinner party is located. While on our way, I sent 'Macy a message that me & my  mom where attending some party in the city. She replied back  that it was good that I settled my issues with my mom & that she was happy for me to finally came out of my cave, she added, which I chuckled a bit.

We pulled up on the front of a really huge & beautiful house with light blue paint on it's exterior.

" Wow it's really a beautiful house mom," I said with wide eyes.

"Yeah you're right honey, they are our big major sponsor & they are rich enough to be, but they're really kind-hearted person. Just a strict one when it comes to family matters. So, come on, let's go inside," my Mom said.

     We get off the car & proceeded to the main entrance while showing the guards our pass. Many people were inside already, I noticed that majority of these people are in there late 30's or 40's to be exact. But, there we're also young one's like my age, probably the children of my mom's co-workers. We reached the main hall of the house & I'm really amazed of how it looks, it's marble interior,  the antiques displayed in the corners, the paintings & other decorations on the wall, even the chandeliers  hanging around, is really amazing & no wonder it cost like a million bucks.
