Oh dear crush

My heart races at the thought of you,
A nervous excitement that I can't quell.
Your smile, your laugh, the way you move,
All of it makes my heart swell.

I can't help but think of you,
Even when I try to focus on other things.
You're always there in the back of my mind,
Your memory a joy that my heart sings.

I wish I could tell you how I feel,
But the words seem to escape me.
So for now, I'll just hold on to this secret,
Hoping that one day you'll see.

Until then, I'll keep dreaming,
Of a future with you by my side.
Hoping that someday, our paths will align,
And together, we'll take the world in stride.
