Lisette shrieked and tried to pull me off. I kept digging in, but suddenly stopped. She stumbled backward in surprise, her hands covering her eyes.

Erik and Bryant were watching our battle like it was their own personal UFC fight. Slowly, Bryant began to rise, realizing what I was about to do. Too late. I sprinted for the gun that I had dropped earlier. Picking it up, I twirled it twice before pointing it at Bryant.

I was pissed off. Like a ticking time bomb, if you pressed the wrong button, I would blow up.

"So lady, gents. Where are we headed?" I would have told them to drive me back home, but looking out the window, it seemed we were in the middle of the forest. I didn't know how long it had been, but I knew we were a long way from home.

"Aphrodite, was that necessary?" Bryant asked while Erik tried to console Lisette.

Ignoring her cries and his question, I put my back against the wall of the truck and slid my back down against it until my butt hit the floor.

I hit my gun against the floor and asked again. "Where are we going?"

"The base," Bryant said. "That's in the Foliage section. It's where you will be training."

"Foliage section?" Didn't foliage mean trees and bushes and stuff like that? Don't judge me because I didn't know the exact definition. It's summer vacation, and my brain had gotten the memo.

"Well... it can't be described as well as it can be shown." Ugh. "Aphrodite, might I say that you are a great fighter? You were really meant for our program."

"Yeah, whatever. Tell me why you mentioned my brother earlier."

"Well, you see.... We lied. We know about Ben, but we don't have him." No.

"You didn't lie. You didn't. Because, see, if you did-." I cut myself off. I guess you could say they pressed the wrong button.

I picked the gun back up, turned around and shot the lock on the entrance doors to this big/small/glamoured/technologied(I didn't really know how to describe it) truck.

Pushing the door open, I jumped out of the moving vehicle and only when I landed, did I realize that it wasn't the brightest idea. 'Oh, lawd,' was my first thought as I felt my ankle roll. I didn't want to stop moving though, so by the time that they stopped the vehicle, I was in a bush. Luckily, the fact that it was dark out, along with the fact that I was still wearing my green and black outfit saved me.

"Where is that stupid little snot?" Ah, it seemed that Lisette was back to normal. I lifted my walls to give her a quick mental message.

Lisette, I wouldn't be talking trash if I were you. Remember how I beat you down like a drum? I'm not afraid to do it again.

I shut my walls back down. I didn't know if it was bravery, or stupidity, I just knew that I definitely was gonna be in pain the next time I saw her.

"That girl is here somewhere...." Lisette growled. "It's too bad that he isn't here, he would be able to find her in an instant. I don't have time to look for her. Let's go." I heard the car drive away, but I knew this trick. She wanted me to believe that she was leaving, so I would come out. For all I knew, they were still there, waiting. I wasn't falling for it. Smirking at my good sense, I decided to take a small nap in the bushes.

As tired as I was, my problem was that it was around one o'clock in the morning, and I was in the middle of the jungle, with an injury. If a person or animal came up to me, I couldn't run. I had no idea where I was, I had no idea where Ben was, I was covered in mud, leaves, and-I pulled a splinter from my thigh- sticks. My mom probably thought I was kidnapped, because I obviously didn't arrive at any hospital, my wolf(because I still thought of him as mine) was probably gonna starve, because I doubted that anyone would have such a kind soul like mine and would feed him.
