At this point I've lost count the amount of schools we've had to switch just in the past couple of years. In our defence none of these schools seem to be able to handle us, that's not our fault.
There's also the fact that my sister can't tolerate stupid human beings and their stupid actions then proceeds to retaliate in extreme measures, now that I'll admit is on us.
Wednesday does have a knack for somehow always getting herself in trouble. We just aren't really your average 'normal' family.
Take how we got expelled from our latest school right now for example;
Was throwing flesh-eating piranhas into the school pool while the swim team were in the pool necessary?
No not really, we could definitely have not done that.
But did they deserve it for bullying our little brother Pugsley?
Yes. Yes they did. And I do not regret what happened at all.All of them survived too with all but some little scratches so I don't really see what the big deal was.
What a bunch of sissys.Usually, Wednesday's the twin with murder on her mind and just darker thoughts in general, I'd much rather be happy to not think about depressing grim situations myself when I can just feel her's like live wire, but when it comes to my family especially Pugsley, who gets picked on the most and can't stand up for himself, that's where I draw the line at being sweet and civil with everyone. My usual aversion to violence snaps away and I couldn't care less about anything else.
And while Wednesday appreciates my dark side when it shows, she doesn't approve that there are only some things that trigger me, giving me a weakness when I shouldn't have any.
But I think that having something you believe is worth fighting for gives you purpose and reason to keep moving forward. Embrace it, and it doesn't have to be a weakness anymore.
To me; Love is worth fighting for, so whenever it needs protecting I will never look the other way, but give my all.
._._._._.Now we're on our way to this special boarding school, Nevermore, our parents are sending us to now, where people like us would 'fit in', they went there as well back in the day and think it'll be good for us too.
Normally during such long car rides like this one, I'd turn to Wednesday and ask her how writing her novel's going and what trouble her main protagonist, Viper, had gotten herself into now, then I'd probably get a reply detailing a very graphic gruesome homicide case Viper was investigating at the moment and I'd just have to swallow in all of the details because of the supportive sister that I am, then she'd ask me if I was working on anything too lately and I'd read her a new poem I'd written and she'd try and fail not to be disgusted by the lovey dovey theme of it.
That was just us, we were complete opposites but we'd stuff those differences aside and listen to what the other had to say even if it wasn't something you were completely comfortable with because we knew the other was excited about that something and we'd just cherish that because we loved eachother, even if Wednesday couldn't show it in the traditional form. Now even though that's what would normally happen I refrained from doing so today and turned to look out the window.
Wednesday wasn't thrilled about the new school situation, especially because we would be now studying where I parents had before, I don't really understand why but that bothered her a lot, and so she had refused to talk to our parents for the past few days and counting.
"Darling, how long do you intend on giving us the cold shoulder?" Mother breaks away from her previous conversation with father, now putting her full attention towards Wednesday, finally addressing what was the cause of all this awkward air.
"Sunday, please remind our parents that I'm no longer speaking to them,"
I look apologetically to my mother, but she knows as well as I that my sister can be and is being very stubborn."I promise you, my little viper and my little ladybug, you will love Nevermore." Father smiles at us both then looks back at mother, "Won't they, Tish?"
"Of course, it's the perfect school for them.""Why?" Wednesday finally addressing them directly, "Because it was the perfect school for you?" Looking in between the both of them with disgusted eyes, still it was a big improvement.
"I have no interest in following in your footsteps. Becoming captain of the fencing team, Queen of the Dark prom, President of the Séance society.""Those aren't really bad footsteps..." I whisper, and my mother gives me a smile while Wednesday shoots daggers in my direction, I can't help but just shrug.
Mother sighs,"You'll both be among peers who understand you, maybe you'll even make some friends." I hope so.
"Nevermore is like no other boarding school," Father continues, "it's a magical place," Turns to mother, "Where I met your mother. And we fell in love." Oh god they're leaning in... I'm just glad Pugsley's in the front seat and won't have to see what'll happen next.
"You guys are making me nauseous, not in a good way."
Thankfully Wednesday's words makes them pull apart, I love my parents and I love what they have together even after all these years but I'd really rather not be a witness to it by my own eyes. Ew."Darling, we aren't the one's who got you expelled. That boy's family was going to charge against attempted murder. Now how would that have looked on your record?" Not good.
"Terrible. Everyone would know I failed to get the job done." Oh Wednesday..."I don't really get why they expelled me too though, I didn't do anything," I add.
"Sunday Darling, standing there and smiling doesn't look good either."
I smile sheepishly, "Oh yeah.." and scratch the back of my neck. But then I look back brightly, "Well it was a shame but it's in the past now right? so let's just cut our losses and move on. Yeah mother? Wednesday?" Mother shakes her head in good nature and I return a cheeky smile, I then elbow Wednesday in the arm my eyebrows raised, she just rolls her eyes and looks out the window, making me laugh.._._._._.
