Chapter 2

Freya pov

It was break time and Luke had gone to Dougie to talk about portfolios, Michael decided to go with him. Sophie has already rushed off with Ashton to the social space. So i was left with Mr Calum Hood.

“Where did Ash and Soph go?” Cal asked as we walked back to our lockers to put our pe bags away.

“They went to the social space to chat” i told him.

“Want to go spy?”

“But it's a pretty private convo, Cal!”

“I know that, but we all know what's going to happen. Those two have just been totally oblivious to it.” I half shrugged half nodded at what he said. We then pretty much ran to the social space and hid behind the teachers desk which they were pretty much right next to.

“Ashton, i have something to tell you” Sophie said with a hint of worry to her voice.

“I have something to say to you too! But you go first!” Ash replied.

“Ashton, i like you. And i mean like, like you! That moment i met you the very first day in drama to you becoming friends and hanging around with the boys. Michael and Cal, they are like brothers to me. But with you it's just different. A different kind of love. Now i’m not saying that i love you yet but i have these feelings for you. These feelings are just so strong that when i’m with you, my heart beats double the speed. Now, i know you like me as a friend but i need you to know my feelings for you!” I could hear tears in her voice as she spoke. I looked at Calum and we waited but there was no answer.

“Oh no! Oh god no!” i began to whisper with worry. Calum just popped his head up over the desk before pulling me up. Ashton and Sophie's lips were locked in a deep kiss. Not all over dramatic but a kiss of a start of something new. Calum coughed making the two separate. Sophie blushed but they both had huge grins on their faces. Sophie still had a couple silent tears running down her face which Ashton kissed off.

“Keep it PG!” I said, covering mine and Calum’s eyes. Sophie giggled before getting off the bench.

“We have Music in a bit, right?” Ashton asked, his cheek slowly turning from crimson back to normal.

Calum and i nodded as the other two grabbed their bags from next to them. We headed down to music, Calum and I in the lead, leaving the lovebirds to walk together peacefully.

The bell just rang for the beginning of the lesson as we arrived. Luke and Mikey were already sat by the guitars, strumming along to one of the songs they played yesterday. I sat next to Luke and Calum sat beside me. “Pass me a guitar pleaseeeee” I said to Luke, he gave me a quisitive look as he handed me one.

“You play guitar?” He asked.

“Yup” I replied, tuning it slightly. I started to play some chords and ended up playing What I Go To School For, wondering if any of them would recognise. “Her voice..” I started singing before being interrupted.

“Is echoed in my mind, I count the days till she is mine” Someone else sang. I looked up to see a blonde haired man with glasses. I stopped playing and just stared at him. “I’m Mr Fletcher, you must be Freya Lillies” he said, putting his cup of coffee on his desk.

“Yes” i simply replied, passing the guitar over to Luke to put back.

The class soon filed in, all sitting in little groups. “Right class, you guys have all been put into the talent show.” Gasp came from everyone. “Not my problem.”
