Grinch

I was woken up from my not so peaceful sleeping to hear my daughter crying once again, me and Mattheo were trying to get her to sleep in her own bed but she keeps waking up and crying. Mattheo is always saying "she's only 4 she can still sleep with us" but he's the one who always wants to have sex and we obviously can't if she's in here

So i decided to wait it out maybe she'll go back to sleep if not one comes until I turn over and realize Mattheo wasn't even in bed I sighed and got out of bed to go get them both. I went to Melissa's room and turned the light on and she wasn't even there so I guess no one wants to be in bed anymore, I tried to listen to her crying and I realized she was in the living room. I just know she was probably trying to open her gifts but couldn't because I put them in one big bag the she wouldn't be able to open only me and her father could after I made it to the her I saw Mattheo Melissa and Damian sitting by the tree like a cult.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked and once they noticed me Melissa ran up to me and hugged my leg and pointed at her dad with tears rolling down her cheeks

"Daddy said th-that a green man was gonna come and steal my gifts" She said hugging me tightly. I patted her back and look at my husband who was holding our 1 year old son, we stayed looking at each other for a few more seconds until he finally said something

"That's not what happened at all" he said giving me a look "I was telling her a story and I gave her options and she chose that one"

"Why would the Grinch even be an option" he stayed silent and looked at my son who was silently crying while looking at the the tree I got down to my daughters level and hugged her

"The Grinch isn't real sweetie it's a made up story" I stroked her HAIR lightly and kissed her head, I stood back up and looked at Mattheo "why are you all awake anyway" I mumbled and took Damian off of my husbands lap. I gave Damian a kiss and he whispered something in my ear which caused me to take him and Melissa to the kitchen leaving Mattheo on the sofa thinking about what he did. I gave  them both a snack of their choice which was chips and cookies I got Mattheo a muffin because he loves them and I was being nice and we sat with him on the couch

"I apologize" he said in a sarcastic town I rolled my eyes and patted his head

"Good you should be, now pace me the remote" he did as I told him to and we watched the Grinch because I told Melissa he turned out to be good in the end and she agreed to face her fears and watch them movie
