Leo pov:

I think I woke up a little too early today but hey, early bird, right? I sat up to see if my brothers were still sleeping, and sure enough, they were. Raph was spread out like a cat on its back, I laughed a little since it's something he always did but I don't blame him either, he's a big guy. A tough guy with a big and soft heart. I laid back down, just staring at the ceiling while going through my thoughts

"I wonder if Usagi is awake" I asked myself quietly. "Maybe he is, I just have to get up and find out"

I continued to stare at the ceiling when a thought came to me, I don't think I saw Donnie when I sat up to check on them. I sat up again to see if he was there, but nothing. I didn't see him. Mikey was in sight laying on Raph's right side but no Donnie, maybe he was on the left (which would be my blind spot). I moved over to see if he was there, nothing but dead air. He wasn't there. I laid back down thinking he was probably outside, yeah he probably needed fresh air.

"He's probably outside..." I said to myself

"Yeah, you're right. I am outside" It was Donnie, he was sitting against the wall that I lay by. He startled me. I sat up to look at him

"Were you there the whole time?" I asked

"Yup. I was sitting in your blind spot" He pointed.

"You startled me"

"Well, you did tell me that once that I do that a lot to you...when I'm trying not to"

".....oh yeah, I remember now! That was a while ago and can't blame me. It's true." I shrugged while he responded by giving a slight eye roll.

"Well, are you gonna see if your...."friend" is awake?" He asked.

It sent a slight chill

"Oh uh, yeah I was gonna do that" I anxiously answered

I awkwardly got up to leave til I heard him say

"Don't get too weird"

I turned to him.

"And what does that mean exactly?" I asked

"Do you wanna take this outside?" He asked while giving me a suspicious stare.

I straightened myself

"Yeah"

Narrator pov:

The blue and purple turtles go out to the same spot they were previously speaking at. Leo leans up against the fence, resting his arm on it.

"Go ahead" Leo said. "what's this about?"

Donnie hesitated for a second, contemplating if he should say it or not, but he swallowed his gut and spoke.

"I'm positive you had a suspicion, you were wondering why I was asking those questions yesterday....or I guess having that whole conversation with you in general. Is that correct?" 

"Yeah, you were acting a little weird about the questions and I assumed you were hiding what you actually wanted to say" Leo answered while turning to Donnie "So everything you said last night wasn't what you wanted to say."

Donnie was silent 

"Now, I'll ask again from last night, What's this really about?" leo asked, crossing his arms in the process

"Do you like Usagi?" He asked casually

Leo stood there for a second in silence but had a slightly confused expression

"Of course I do! We're practically best friends now!" Leo expressed knowing darn well that wasn't exactly what Donnie was talking about

"That's not what I meant"

"That's what it sounded like to me"

"....okay let me try this. Relationship speaking, do you like Yuichi?"

"Yes"

"You're still talking about friendship, aren't you?"

"Yes"

"Do you know what I'm seriously asking?"

"Nope"

"Are you lying?"

"yes...I mean no" Leo stood there with a nervous smirk

Donnie face palmed.

"Can you take this seriously for a second?" Donnie sighed while removing his hand from his face

"....yes" Leo reluctantly answered

The two stood there, looking around. Leonardo was speechless, Donatello was trying to gather his thoughts, and they both didn't know what to say.

"So.....you and Yuichi, are you really friends?" Donnie broke the silence

Leo didn't respond right away, he thought about lying but his brother would know either way.

"Alright, ........Me and Yuichi..........we love each other "Leo explained. "It was like...we were meant to be, we have so much in common and we were share the same feelings for each other. And that thing you were asking about, it wasn't a token, it's a gift...from yuichi" Leo took the doll out and showed it to Donnie

Donnie looked down at it with a blank face

"I was gonna tell you guys this but I was...worried about what you were gonna say. So I didn't say anything, I wanted it to be a secret....and I guess...." leo explained while holding the doll close to his chest

"...oh Leo-"

"I know, I know. It's probably weird to you and I understand if-"

"No! That's not it. Did you really get worried about what we were gonna say?"

Leo nodded. 

"Leo, you know we would never say anything like that, we support each other. No matter what our differences are, we will always be by each side. And I mean all of us, that includes you, me, Michael, and Raph"

"So you don't care that I like-"

"Another guy? Absolutely not! You like whoever you like and we just support you. Besides, if I'm being honest" Donnie leans over to Leo "I think you two fit each other well"

Leo blushed

"You....think so?"

Donnie nodded

"Wow, I'm shocked....wait, how did you know?"

Donnie froze for a second.

"I may or may not have seen you two being "lovey-dovey" towards each other coming back. From the whole twirling around and squeezing each other's faces and maybe I overheard your guys' conversation"

Leo gave a slight glare

"Oh don't give me that look, you would've thought that it was slightly obvious. Especially if you and Mikey are the ones that express the most emotions out of all of us"

"Huh, I never thought about that"

"Yup"

They stood there looking down at neo edo as the sun started to rise higher.

"Chizu didn't see us, did she?" Leo questioned with concern.

"No she didn't" Donnie answered

"Oh good. I don't think they're ready for that."

"You gonna tell raph or mike?"

"Not yet"

"I'll keep it a secret"

"....thanks"

Leo leaned over and squeezed his brother, Donnie hugged him back.

"Okay, okay. Let's go see if the others are awake"
