Narrator pov:

The silence was driven for a bit, leaving a slight shiver of anxiety in Leo's body. That was till the orange turtle broke the silence.

"My work here is done" Mikey concluded

Leo's body went stiff while Yuichi's ears shot up, pointing to the sky

"Really?!" Yuichi said with a speck of excitement

Mikey nodded

The turtle and rabbit turned to each other and gave each other a small excited smile before squeezing each other. Leo would lift Yuichi while still hugging him, twirling around before collapsing to the ground, spawning a joyful laugh from the two.
Mikey walked up to the two and placed a hand on both of their shoulders.

"I am glad that I was able to help you two" Mikey said with relief "Maybe a little bit quicker than with Donnie but don't tell him I said that"

Leo and Yuichi chuckled.

"Your secret is safe with us" Yuichi reassured

"Yeah, I promise not to tell Donnie" Leo added

The three laughed to each other as Mikey laid down to join them.

"Hey, thanks again Mikey" Leo thanked his younger brother

"Anytime bro" Mikey responded

Leo sighed

"I figure you two had a thing for each other" Mikey's quick quote sent a straight shot through both of them.

"...eh?" Leo questioned 

"Leo, I knew since the first day we hung out with them. You came home and did a whole rundown of your day, a real person of love would do that" Mikey explained 

"Not to mention, we both did show interest in each other" Yuichi added

"Wasn't you first though? I could've sworn you thought I was "Eye-catching" No?" Leo asked

"Did I say that? I don't recall" Yuichi crossed his arms

"Oh really?" Leo teased "I thought you said I was the coolest person you've met"

"Okay okay, I did say that but that's it"

Leo and Mikey chuckled

"So, what else did you guys do?" Mikey asked

"Well, I did tell you about the ride we had" Leo responded "What else did we do?"

"The gift?" Yuichi added

"Oh yeah! Chich got a gift for us. Oh, and we went back to that park I mentioned, and laid there, relaxing underneath the shade. That is where he gave me the gift" Leo explained

"Ooh! What gift?" Mikey asked

Leo pulls the doll of Yuichi out of his pouch and hands it to Mikey.

"Ooooh! This is cute! Where did you get this?"

"Yuichi got it, I'm not sure"

"I had them custom made" Yuichi answered "I saw that there was a person who makes little souvenirs and one of the items they make were dolls so I asked to have two made for us"

 "Souvenirs, huh? What other ones do they make?" Mikey asked while giving the doll back to Leo

"Just about any small thing you can think of" 

"Well, I might have to check it out then"

There was a bit of silence from the three, just the sound of the wind slightly blowing.

"So, Leo" Mikey said, turning to Leo. "When you bring us back, You plan on bringing Usagi?"

"Uh duh. What kind of question is that?" Leo responded "I gotta show him new york, the hidden city, I gotta have a "date" with him there"

"D-date?" Yuichi questioned, ears pointed upwards

"Not what I meant. Like, take you out to eat since you did that with us when we first came here. Remember?"

"Oh yeah, I remember. You know you don't have to, right?"

"No" Leo sits up and grabs Yuichi's hand, pulling him closer "You did too many nice things to me!"

"...and?" Yuichi said nervously

"I'm returning the favor" Leo whispered

"Oh, you could've just said that"

"That's what I've been trying to say"

"Words, Leon. You need to be more clear, not hinting" Mikey reminded "Oh, when we go back home, we have to introduce you to our friend April. I'm sure she'll like you"

"That's the girl you were talking about? Leo told me about her"

"Yeah I did and I know she'll be fond of you real quick" Leo said as he let go of Yuichi's hands. "We are going to have so much fun"

"I'm already making plans in my head for me and Kitsune... Maybe not Alberto's though" Mikey said

"Yeah, we definitely aren't going there" Leo agreed

"Is it bad?" Yuichi asked

"You don't wanna know" Mikey answered

Yuichi scratched his head, thinking of the possibility but shrugged it off. Mikey looked over, at the same moment, Ashibasha came back meaning the others had returned.

"Looks like the others are back" Mikey announced to the other two.

"Yeah, it's getting darker and Lord Kogane is supposed to be cutting the power off soon" Yuichi added

"Why?" Leo asked

"For the bats"

"What bats?"

"You'll see them... if you just sit outside. I personally like to stay out to see the stars, they shine brighter without the lights"

"...You don't mind if we stay up to see it, do you?

""I don't mind. In fact, I think the others will be fine with watching them too!"

"Yes!" Leo hugged Yuichi "You're the best!"

"Quite the hugger, huh Leon?" Mikey teased

"What?" Leo let go of Usagi "I am not"

"I'm kidding"

Leo gave Mikey an unimpressed expression. Yuichi's ear went up, a reaction leading him to go and look at the city

"Hey! They're cutting the power out in a little bit" Yuichi told the two brothers

"Got a spot?" Leo asked

"Yeah, I got the right spot"
