<< OFF >>

We still stayed in the island for another 3 more days. In the morning, I'd be bringing them to explore the island. In the evening, I'd be exploring Gun. It came to a point that P'Kwang even teased us to slow down. I guess she must've heard us while we were in action.

I had another driver drive us from the dock to our dorm. Through out the ride back, Gun hugged my arm and slept on my shoulder. We first dropped P'Kwang at the office as she had meetings to atten to. Gun slept through the entire ride and only woke up when we pulled over the dorm's parking lot.

While he slept, I had to follow up on the investigation. The report I received was rather worrisome. I wasn't able to get as much information as I wanted. Basically, we were still in the dark with no clues as to who was the real mastermind behind the incident. It was like a stake in my eye that I can't seem to shake off.

Could it be possible that the mastermind knows about Gun's ability? Still, I don't think he's been letting people. It seems he's not outrightly tell this talent or the so-called the hidden ace up his sleeve. However, I can't disregard this as a possibility. This is extremely stressing me out!

I went to the kitchen and took the hidden whisky in the bottom cupboard. I needed a couple of shots to clear my head. With a half filled glass, I sat by the window to look outside. It gave me a different perception or view into things. At times it works at times it doesn't. Still it helps just get my mind clear up.

"Papi?" Gun stood half awake at the end of the hallway.

"Gun, why are you up? Do you need anything?" Having sat there for so long in my thoughts, I somehow lost energy to move myself from the chair.

"What are you doing in the dark?" He asked as he slowly approached me. "Papi, why are you drinking? Is anything bothering you?" He was definitely worried.

I pulled him and made him sit on my lap. "It's nothing." I lied as I leaned my head on his shoulders. With him in my arms, it makes me realize that I want nothing to harm him. I breathed in his scent and just savoured it.

He started to stroke my back in a very comforting manner. It makes me realize how vulnerable and weak I am. "Papi, you know you can tell me anything. I'm not as weak and fragile as I look."

He's right. He's not weak. It's me who's the weaker person out of the both of us. I want to be strong enough to keep him safe. I want to be strong for the both of us.

"I know." I finally spoke. "I'm just not happy how the investigation is going. There weren't much to go on with. It's like we always hit a dead end." I sighed.

"Don't worry. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of things." He assured me. We stayed hugging each other for quite a while, before he said, "There's no use worrying about the unknown. I'm sure after a good night's sleep, you'll get a realization."

I nodded and followed him to our room. No matter how pre-occupied my mind was earlier, as soon as my back hit the bed and my arms held him I was immediately transported to dreamland.

The following day, Gun was already up and about when I woke up. He was already working onmaking breakfast for everyone. I took a seat by the dining table as he swayed to the music that was playing in his ears. I can't stop myself from oggling at his hips as it swayed and circled. Without a care for anything else, I walked over and hugged him from behind.

"Papi, I'm cooking here." He said but didn't sound like he opposed to it much.

I just hummed in response as I rested my chin on his shoulder.

"Aw! My eyes!" New teased as he entered the dining area.

"Guys, get room." Tay scolded.

"I didn't know P'Off is such a clingy boyfriend." Singto chimed.
