The tall glass apartment building that Stark had said was safe with the newest of his security designs was as far removed from her apartment back in Hell's Kitchen as it could possibly get. He'd chosen it because it was a five minute drive or a twenty minute walk from here to the Avengers Tower. The need to have her close by was Director Fury's top priority once he knew exactly who she was. From the time she'd agreed to the verbal deal with Stark and Rogers to when she got into the waiting SUV things had moved very quickly. It was confirmed that a deal in writing was being drawn up with room for leeway for both parties to be discussed the next day. For now, Nyx and Loki were to get settled for the night and then the negations would begin in the morning.
Once they gain the all clear from Romanoff and Rogers, Nyx and Loki get out of the SUV with all of her belongings in tow. Cradling Westley's backpack she kept her eyes on a swivel for anyone that might be out of place or more importantly, her sister. The fact that Mira had taken the chance to warn her at all meant so much, causing Nyx's emotions to run rampant. Pushing those emotions down she subtly searches the faces of every person rushing left and right on the busy uptown sidewalk for anyone that she might have known in her previous life. With Loki's hand on her lower back, Nyx tucked her face down as if she was checking on the sleeping cat. The god carefully but firmly escorted her through the sea of people going home for the day to the guarded glass doors.
Several cameras monitored the outside as well as the inside of the building and lobby. Said lobby had a doorman, who was armed, was now and for the entirety of her stay, actually a SHIELD agent. All of the men and women in charge of taking care of the building now were. When she'd asked what happened to the former employees she'd simply been told, "They've been moved to one of his other buildings and given generous raises." It was all for her protection. Still she couldn't help but feel extremely vulnerable in a building that was so exposed to eager watchful eyes.
Passing through the pristine white with gold veined marble floored lobby they pause for the undercover agent to pass Rogers something. Nyx enters a private elevator across from the main one that of course belongs solely to the owner of the penthouse or rather her in the meantime. It apparently required a key fob to use which would limit who could access it which was smart. She was shifted to the back for her safety with the Avengers who stood in front of her as her and Westley's guards. The all shiny chrome and glass box allowed Nyx to be able to keep her eyes on each of them. As they silently rode up the sight of Captain America, Black Widow and god of Mischief playing at being her bodyguards had her thinking, today is certainly not at all ending how I thought it would.
Ninety amused seconds later the doors opened up on to the top floor. A beautiful pink and gold marble entryway with a round glass table stood in the middle of the room. Sitting on the table was a large vase nearly as tall as she was filled with fresh flowers and greenery that filled the room with their soft scent. On the opposite side of the elevator was a single white door. Again following after the others, Nyx watched as Rogers waved the key fob over the lock. The red light turned green as he pushed down the golden handle. Half turning around Steve passes her the key fob and a second one to Loki as he gives her an encouraging smile. "Let's get you settled shall we?"
Still not feeling very wordy Nyx pockets the key fob as she steps inside and looks around shaking her head. The empty penthouse she and Loki would be staying in for who knew how long had been bought while she was packing up her things. Tony had been nice enough to make sure that it had included the basics of furniture for them to use. Although it didn't really matter to her whether or not she slept on the floor, so long as it was where Orion and the other Sparrows couldn't reach her. However, looking around at the opulently designed and furnished mansion in the sky it had Nyx biting back a whistle. Everything matched the entryway. More light pink marble floors, large canvases that had colors matching the aesthetic of the open floor plan on the white walls. The second she walked in, the huge kitchen was to their right while the dining room and living room filled up the rest of the space. To the left there was a floating staircase that Nyx was pretty sure led up to the bedrooms and bathrooms and whatever other rooms this place held. And underneath the stairs was a door she suspected held the guest bathroom.
