I've been here with Billy for 2 weeks now I think he's warming up to me he even invites me to watch cartoons with him it's so cute when he shuffles into the kitchen and looks down while fiddling with his hands and asks "d-do you wanna come watch cartoons with me?" He always asks so timidly I always say yes Christmas is tomorrow so I got him a present I noticed that the jacket he always wears has a hole in it and is worn out so I got him a new one that looks identical to the last I put it into a gift bag along with some other things I got him that I thought he would enjoy and wrote on the tag to Billy from y/n
Time skip Christmas morning
"Good morning Billy Merry Christmas" I said holding out the bag he looked in confusion "you got me something?" He shyly asked I nodded "mhm this is yours" he took it and sat down on the couch opening it he pulled out the first thing I got him a little cologne set I figured he would like he looked so excited to receive something he dug into the bag again pulling out a watch he looked at me "I figured since you're always asking the time I would get you a watch so you can a-" I was cut off by him hugging me "Thank you" he mumbled "you're very welcome"
He sat back down and went through all his gifts before he made it to the jacket "y/n how did you find this?" He asked "I looked everywhere for one just like the one you wear and I noticed it was a little worn out so I figured I'd give you a new one" I said "thank you" he said I smiled and nodded "I feel bad" he said "what why?" I asked "because I didn't get you anything" he said "it's okay billy we just met anyways it's okay don't worry about me getting to be your nurse is a gift in it's self" I said he looked at me "really?" "Really being able to help you is the greatest gift"
