"Follow me." Ghost motioned towards the entrance of the information room, and you hastily matched his pace. "Look down the middle of the hall, and I'll clear us from the left." You stood behind him as he grabbed the door, pushing it slowly open. You watched intently down the hallway, scanning for any signs of movement. "Nobody yet, Ghost." You uttered. Ghost peaked his head out of the doorway, easing his view to the left corridor. He quickly sprung back and the snapping explosion of a firearm followed. You winced at the echoing blast, hearing the bullet whirl by the door through the air. Ghost quickly shut the door back, holding it. "Go grab a chair, quick!" He commanded, and your eyes darted around the flashing red room for a chair. One caught your eye, and you raced over to grab the office chair and bring it back to Ghost.

He took the chair from you, propping it against the door handles and the floor for a makeshift barricade. "Hallway isn't safe, we've got to find another way." He grumbled, stress lacing his words. You both made your way to the middle of the information room, scanning around for another access point. Your heart raced in your chest and you could feel droplets of sweat forming beneath your gear. This was the first mission where you truly felt trapped. You surveyed the room, almost losing hope before looking up. There was a skylight above the railing on the open second floor. You tapped Ghost's shoulder and he focused his attention to where you looked. "Up there, we can get on the roof." You proposed, and he nodded in satisfaction. Ghost pointed over to a hollow section of the wall, and you could make out a staircase leading up to the second story of the information room.

"Perfect, let's get on it." You said, and he agreed. You both jogged over and up the stairs, making your way through the labyrinth of shelves and file cabinets lining every inch of the second story. Soon enough, you came across the skylight allowing the early morning dusk to pierce through. Ghost pulled a chair up to the railing, and stood on the fabric of the seat. Even at his stature, the skylight was too far to reach. "Fuck!" He exclaimed behind his teeth. You sighed in disappointment, turning around to look for another means of escape. "There's got to be another...-" Before you could finish your statement, Ghost grabbed your shoulder from above and caught your attention. "Get on my shoulders. You're getting on the roof; I'll find another way out." Ghost said, making you stare at him in disbelief. "What are you on about, Ghost? I'm not splitting up from you." Ghost shook his head. "It's not a question, Sergeant. Get on the roof, find a way down, and get to the boat."

You bit your lip, thinking for only a brief second. You perked up at the sound of banging against the entrance below, hearing the familiar sound of battering rams against the door. If they got in, they'd kill you both. Your heart dropped, and you looked up to Ghost who extended his arms out to help you up. "Alright, alright." You grabbed onto his arms, hoisting yourself up on the chair with Ghost. He bent down, and you stepped on his thighs to saddle yourself on his shoulders. You balanced yourself as Ghost stood up, giving you enough reach to touch the glass of the skylight. He held tightly onto your thighs, his fingers digging into the flesh beneath your pants. You slightly hissed at the pain, but persisted.

Taking out your knife from the belt of your slacks, you turned the casing end up in your hand. "Don't look up." You warned, taking the end of the knife and striking the glass with a shattering blow. The skylight gave away, sending shards of glass spiraling down on all sides. You grabbed onto the sides of the skylight encasing, careful to avoid any sharp shards of glass remaining. Ghost let go of your thighs, and you hoisted yourself up and crawled onto the roof. You took a deep breath of the salty air, and turned back to look down into the room. Ghost had gotten down from the chair, and was looking around for his plan of escape. "Ghost," You pleaded, and he turned up to look at you. His eyes beneath the mask lit up with the red flares of the alarm, and the residue of the moonlight ever so fading from the morning sky. "Please be careful." He bobbed his head before turning to the sound of the doors crumbling down below him. A mob of armed soldiers rushed through the doors, their flashlights attached to the barrels of their guns whipping back and forth in search of you and Ghost.
