3rd pov in the Kanako clan of the mountains the same day Quaritch attacked the Sully family and the Metakayina tribe:
"KOLANAN WHERE ARE YOU, YOUR FATHER REQUESTS YOUR PRESENCE! KOLANAN?"
The 15 year old girl hid behind the glacier boulder, trying not to breathe too heavily after sprinting up the mountain.
She waited for the voice to fade, signalling the clan member had left to look elsewhere before she took a deep sigh of relief.
She wasn't in the mood to see her father right now, she had a horrific lingering feeling of dread and despair, she had to go to the one place she knew could calm her, the one place no one else knew about in the whole of Pandora.
The heart of Eywa.
Every tribe has a tree that allows them to connect to Eywa, but these trees have roots and those roots lead directly to a secluded cave deep in the mountains which has only seemed to open itself up to this one young girl.
Kolanan shuffled through the tight crawlspace before landing gracefully into the large cave, a glowing pool lighting the entire space, colours of blue pink and purple swarming her sight, and in the centre a tangle of roots forming their own makeshift tree reminiscent of the shape of a heart.
The heart of Eywa.
Kolanan has heard the ancestors of the Omaticaya, the Metakayina, the Kanako, she has met some great warriors like Tsu'tey of the Omaticaya who was Olu'ektan and fought alongside Toruk Makto.
Most would not be able to handle the sheer energy from the pool but Kolanan had always been different, she was never destined to be Tsahik unlike in other tribes, she was to be the leader, a warrior, but the connection she had with Eywa was unlike any other, instead of feeling overwhelmed in the souls of Pandora it brought her tranquillity, everything else went silent, it was just the sweet song of her Great Mother.
Kolanan looked into the water, her reflection stared right back.
Her long tousled black hair flowed down, the odd braid in there with a feather laced in on one side. Her tribe's skin was a dark blue, and their eyes a deep purple, like indigo.
Her stature was also typical to her tribe but more accentuated as she was in peak fitness condition, her hips were wide like the Metakayina but her chest was no as big, her people didnt require as much lung capacity for oxygen intake. Nevertheless she was tall, with thick but toned thighs, her figure elegant yet intimidating and it would be something she would grow more into as she got older, her stripes were and even darker blue, but her body was luminated all over with fluorescent dots.
Kolanan was seldom complimented on her looks because of her outstanding combat ability it was always overshadowed, but the amount of marriage proposals she got at 15 were enough to give the girl confidence.
A sharp stabbing pain in her chest snapped the Kanako girl out of her thoughts as she feel to her knees gasping from pain.
It felt like a hot needle went right through her and suddenly the feeling of grief and despair increased ten fold, a daunting feeling of panic set in and all she could think of was getting to the Heart of Eywa.
The girl dove in, swimming to the tree and grabbing hold of it, but the pain didn't subside and the panic only increased like something incredibly important to her was slipping away.
She took her queue and attached it to one of the branches a surge of energy flowing through her before she was transported to a scene.
A boy.
