3rd pov:
The soldier threw her in her room, boarding the door and the skylight above her.
She was locked in.
She couldn't even see the sun, she couldn't see how long he had left.
The soldiers were gone, undoubtedly to help prepare the execution that all the tribes will witness, if they go through with this, the Omaticaya and Metakayina will wage war immediately, at which point the Skypeople would be the least of their problems.
Kolanan ran at the door, kicking it, pounding it, ramming heavy objects into it. But it didn't budge.
She had been there for a few minutes but it felt like 30.
Tears fell to the ground as she climbed to the skylight, smashing the glass and trying to move the boulder.
"AHHHHH." She screamed in pain and desperation, what if she couldn't save him, what if they could only do it once, what if she lost him forever?
"NETEYAAAMMMM." She called in hopes he would hear her, and know she was trying her best.
Kolanan wiped her tears, analysing the rock for any weak spots, she needed to clear her mind.
"Calm Kolanan, calm." She said to herself, taking a deep breath, a tiny sliver of light at the edge of her skylight peeked through.
A sliver of hope.
Kolanan pushed her fingers through, it must be the smaller and lighter side to lift, it was her best chance at getting out.
She stabled herself, pushing the rock, it moved, lifting up and up, but she couldn't hold it, dropping it back down.
Kolanan shouted in frustration.
"Please Eywa, give me the strength to lift this boulder, give me the speed to race up that mountain, lend me you power Great Mother."
Kolanan felt a warmth spread though her, she took it as a sign to try again, lifting the boulder, and with a final grunt, pushing it off the skylight.
Kolanan climbed out immediately.
Her father has surely taken her Ikran and tied it up somewhere, maybe even killed it.
But she called out nonetheless.
The shriek was returned, but it wasn't her Ikran.
Kolanan looked up to the sky as she sprinted for the execution mountain, green, yellow and brown striped, yellow eyes.
Neteyam's ikran.
The mountain banshee soared down and without missing a beat, Kolanan made Tsaheylu and flew the creature to the peak.
It must be the special bond between Neteyam and Kolanan that allowed the Ikran to let her ride too. Kolanan thought.
The beast beat its wings, climbing the steep descent, Kolanan looked at the sky, the sun was beginning to peak out.
Once they reached the summit, Kolanan saw the crowd of Na'vi and Neteyam bound with his head on a block as her father began to approach him with a large club.
The Sully family was still tied up, knelt down on the floor, shouting for Neteyam's release.
The Omaticaya wept, they had no weapons with them, they were no use against the Kanako clan.
The tribe adored Neteyam and looked forward to him being Olu'ektan, he was such a key member to the tribe, noble and kind hearted. He was not deserving of such a punishment for falling in love.
