As I was sleeping in a pile of books in the public library, my brother, Hajun, snapped in my ear.

I woke up instantly.

"Hey! What was that for?" I groaned as I stretched my arms.

He said the best and most shocking news ever to me. It was uncalled for since I was in the middle of studying for the first exams of the year.

"Mom said we're moving to Busan and staying with our grandparents, mom's side," Hajun said with a straight face.

I laughed sarcastically as I said, "Nice joke, Hajun. Don't disturb me, I'm busy."

It was a moment of silence for a bit until I looked at him again. He looked serious.

"Wait, you're serious?"

He nodded. I couldn't help but scream. Staying in Gwangmyeong was a total nightmare. I shouted, "YES!! FINALLY, I CAN ESCAPE THIS NIGHTMARE!" Bad choice. I had to pay a fee of $5.

I wasn't close to my grandparents in Busan since they lived far away. But, I heard stories of them from mom. My grandma is an American and used to be an astronomer while my grandpa was in a band. Guess that's where my music genes came from.

Anyways, you're probably wondering why I hate it here in Gwangmyeong. Well, not too long ago, I was dating a guy, named Do Yun, and we were the perfect couple. Until he told me he had feelings for another girl named Sua. I got dumped by him and I've been made fun of since.

Whatever, nevertheless, I'm an outcast here. Plus, it would be nice to get in touch with my grandparents. Especially since we haven't spoken in a while.

I got up from my seat and grabbed the stacks of books I was using. There were a lot of books so I couldn't see clearly. While carrying those books, I was also carrying my phone and my iced caramel latte.

Hajun had already left the library and I was all alone.

Suddenly, a tall boy came over to me and asked,

"Hey, need some help?"

"No, no, it's okay!" I answered him while struggling to balance all the books. He then suddenly opened my left hand and took the iced caramel latte I was holding and my phone.  His hand felt warm and smooth like a baby's butt.

"Where to?" he said with a soft voice. I couldn't see him fully but he had muscular arms and dark brown hair. I politely said thank you. I put the books at the front desk and the boy placed down my stuff and walked away.

I went out after that and got home with an earful of scolding.

"Why are you home this late?! Don't you know we're moving to Busan tomorrow afternoon? Pack up quickly or else I'll take away your phone!"

I knew we were moving but tomorrow?! I hadn't even said my goodbyes yet. And it took me longer to go home as the books were quite heavy and I stopped by some places.

I packed up my stuff and I saw a picture of me and Do Yun. He wasn't a bad person, but I hated him. I hated the way he made me fall for him, the way he flirted with me, the way he made my heart flutter every time he talked, I hate everything about him. But yet I decided to keep the photo.

I fell asleep in the middle of packing.

The next morning I saw that the pile of clothes I was packing last night was all gone. Everything was in boxes. I went downstairs to see my mom with a stranger inside. They seemed to be talking about our house.

I wore a black hoodie and some jeans, tied my hair up, put on my earphones, and made my way to the convenience store.

I bought a cup of ramen and ate there. While eating, I couldn't help but think of what it would be like in Busan.

A few hours passed, and we drove there, which took a very long time. When we reached my grandparents' house my jaw dropped. It was big! Well at least bigger than my house. But still!

"Why hello there!! Welcome, welcome!" my grandmother said in a pleasant voice with a huge smile on her face. Our eyes met and she walked towards me.

"Ah, you must be Hajin! Look at you so grown up now" she pinched my cheeks while saying that.

My grandfather showed me and Hajun around the house while my grandmother talked to my parents. After the tour, I unpacked my stuff and went to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with my grandmother bringing my breakfast upstairs. "Good morning darling, here I brought you your breakfast. You can have it in your room since you woke up late. I suggest after you eat you get ready to go out since you're going to see your new school after!" she uttered.

I said a silent thank you. And started eating. On the way to the new school, I was in the car daydreaming about Robert Pattinson until Hajun asked me to look outside.

"Nuna! Look! That boy is so handsome!!" he pointed to a boy holding a bag. I hated to admit it, but he was! He had a face of an angel! I acted like I wasn't interested though.

We finally reached the school I was gonna go to. It was humongous. We went inside to take a closer look. It was nice and spacious. We went to the principal's office so I could be enrolled there. I and Hajun went around to explore. We had a nice time. We ate at the cafeteria and the food choice was incredible. There was cheesy pizza, fries, tteokbokki, Samyang, and even a place for us to cook ourselves.

I liked it here already.
