I was walking around the school, bored as usual. I came across a room that Dongmin didn't show me. It was at another block. It was the music room. The door was locked and I couldn't see through the door. Coming from inside was a male voice singing. It sounded majestic. After that, he stopped singing and sounded like he was walking towards the door.
I quickly hid behind a wall. The bell rang and I got distracted. I didn't get to see who it was. But, that wasn't the problem, I only had a few minutes to go to my classroom! I ran at the speed of light.
I finally reached the classroom at around quarter past 9. I was 5 minutes late. I knocked on the door and went inside the classroom and I widened my eyes seeing them learn History. Weird, it was supposed to be time for Chemistry.
(in between periods, there is a 10-minute break. thats why she was only 5 minutes late)
I saw Dongmin in there. He looked as confused as I was.
"You are..??"
the teacher asked.
"I'm Im Hajin, the new girl. I'm here for Chemistry??" I replied, feeling everyone's eyes on me. I took a glimpse of Dongmin's face, he was silently laughing. Mouthing the following to me; Wrong class, idiot.
"Chemistry? This is History Class, kid," the teacher corrected. Honestly, what else could go wrong today? "Dongmin, please lead her to the Chemistry Lab" the teacher sighed.
Dongmin got out of his seat and walked towards me. I bowed and apologized, using my hair to cover my face once again.
"You're really a funny girl, Hajin," Dongmin said with a smile on his face. My stomach did a backflip. He looked like a fallen angel.
"Cute." without thinking, those words went out of my mouth.
"Sorry, what was that?" he asked. "Nothing. Nothing" I answered, reluctantly.
Finally, we arrived at the class I was supposed to go to. He smiled and walked away. I knocked on the door, embarrassed to walk in. I was 10 minutes late. "Come in!" the teacher said, it was a female voice.
I walked in and gulped. "Oh, you must be Hajin! My name is Joo-Hyu- I mean! I'm Miss. Bae. Take a seat!"
I took a seat next to a boy who seemed focused on something. I patted his shoulder and asked, "What are we supposed to do right now?" He looked at me, rolled his eyes, and sighed. He pointed to the textbook I was holding. I opened the book and he flipped to the page. I mouthed a thank you to him. He continued doing what seemed to be writing. Being me, I peeked to see what he was writing. It looked like poems.
I wasn't interested. I took out my pencil and started doodling in my notebook.
I saw the boy next to me look at my doodles. I heard a soft chuckle. Just then, Miss Bae called for everyone's attention.
"Alright kids, I don't want to be too harsh on you guys, especially because there's a new kid, but I am assigning a project for you guys. I will write extra details on the board so please copy them down. Your partner in this project is your seatmate"
My seatmate, who I still don't know the name yet, looked at me with a disappointed face.
"Give me your phone" he started. I gave him my phone reluctantly. He saved his contact on my phone. "That's my number" saying as he gave me back my phone.
The class ended in no time and I walked out of the class looking at my phone. ‘Hyunjae Chemistry Class’ I scoffed. I walked around the hallway without paying attention to where I was going since I was playing on my phone.
BAM!!
I accidentally bumped into someone. His chest felt hard as a rock.
"Ow, my forehead.." I muttered.
I looked up to see who it was and you would've never guessed who it was!
It was...
