I walked along the long hallway of the school. First day of school in Busan. Would this be hard? I don't know. I made my way to the principal's office and she told me to wait for a boy to come to the office to show me to my classroom and around while he was at it.
Just then, I heard a knock on the door. It was the handsome guy I saw yesterday with Hajun. He greeted me warmly and bowed. I assumed he was the class president.
"Dongmin, this is Hajin, a new student. Please show her around the school and then bring her to your classroom."
We walked out of the door and he chuckled for some reason. It was kind of awkward. "You must be my class president," I said trying to lighten up the mood. "Do you think so?" he replied in a cheeky voice. I looked away. His handsome face was too good to be true. He toured me around the school and it was TIRING!! The school was huge! There were so many places.
"Need a drink?" he asked. I nodded. "Hah, I get it, the school is kind of big.."
"KIND OF??"
He laughed and oh boy this guy. Even if he picked his boogers it would probably still look attractive. He bought himself a drink, and also me, of course. We chatted a bit and he was a nice guy.
I noticed that it had already been an hour. Dongmin brought me to the class and I was forced to introduce myself.
Dongmin sat down at his seat and signaled a thumbs up to me. I smiled.
"Hello, my name is Im Hajin , I'm 17 and I came from Gwangmyeong"
I felt everyone's eyes on me. I awkwardly sat down on a seat in the middle. Dongmin sat at the back so I couldn't really talk to him during class. I sat next to this girl who wouldn't keep her eyes off Dongmin.
"Everyone open your textbooks and turn to where we stopped yesterday."
My first thought was, how the hell would I know what page this class stopped at yesterday.
Just then, the boy beside me switched to my direction and opened the page everyone was at. I said a silent thank you.
During the break in between periods, 3 people came up to me; Dongmin, a girl, and the guy beside me from earlier.
"Hello, new girl!" the girl spoke. I widened my eyes since I didn't expect anyone to talk to me. "Oh, sorry! My name is Jihyo, Park Jihyo!" she apologized.
"Hi," I said while bowing, "You are??"I asked the boy next to her. "Ah, my name's Kim Woojin! Hii!!!" the guy said with an energetic tone.
My eyes met Dongmin's and we made eye contact for a bit until I looked away. "What? Are you gonna ask me for my name as well?" he said while chuckling.
"Anyways!!" Jihyo started, "Aren't you gonna give us your number??" I stared at her blankly with my phone in my hands.
She snatched my phone away and opened it. "WAIT! NO-" I shouted, it was already too late. I hadn't changed my wallpaper yet. It was still me and Do Yun.
"O.M.G!! You have a boyfriend?! He's so handsome!!" she exclaimed pointing her finger to my wallpaper. I face-palmed myself feeling embarrassed. Dongmin looked kinda sad looking at it.
Why does he look so..sad? Could it be? Does he like me?! Omgg!! No, Hajin. Don't be overconfident.
"That's not my boyfriend!! He's my ex. I just haven't changed the wallpaper yet!" I explained, hoping they won't know I still have a tiny, weeny, itty, bitty crush on him.
"Thank god, that means I can have you all for myself," Woojin said, looking determined. Meanwhile, Dongmin looked like he was about to punch him.
"Anyways, are you gonna give your number, or what?" he continued. I gave them my number and the bell rang. We went back to our seats.
During class, I was looking outside the window daydreaming about Robert Pattinson once again, and this time the teacher hit my head saying,
"Hajin, I understand you just moved into Busan not too long ago and just started school today, but, THAT DOESN'T MEAN I CAN'T SCOLD YOU FOR DAYDREAMING DURING MY CLASS!! STAND UP FOR THE REST OF MY LESSON!"
(btw extra info; hajin sits on the 3rd row vertically and 2 rows horizontally, jihyo sat in front of her, woojin sits at her left which is where the window is and eunwoo/dongmin sits in the same row as woojin vertically and 2 rows behind woojin horizontally, if you know, you know, if you don't, then you don't)
I quickly stood up and apologized for it while bowing. "Why not you answer this equation on the board?" the teacher said while grinning.
Shit, it's math, the only thing I didn't study in the library back in Gwangmyeong.
I made my way to the front and tried to answer the question. I didn't know the answer. So I just put a random guess.
The teacher laughed quietly at my answer. I could've sworn I saw some other people holding in their laughter.
"Honey, the question asked to find x. How did your answer become 5078?" the teacher asked. I didn't answer. I just used my hair to cover myself. My cheeks grew red out of embarrassment. The bell finally rang after some time. I plopped down to my seat because my legs were so sore. The 3 came over to me again, laughing their asses out.
"Damn, Hajin. That question was so easy and yet you got the wrong answer!" Dongmin exclaimed in laughter. "The answer wasn't even close to right!!" Jihyo continued.
I felt taken aback! By my own friends!! Tch!
It feels good to finally have some friends in a while.
