Mistletoe

It was the annual Voltron Christmas party held at the Holt's. Only this year things were gonna be a little bit different. One of those things involved a mistletoe,matching sweaters, and bets placed between Shiro and Hunk.

"Matt!" Pidge exclaimed as she yelled at her brother, making her way downstairs to the dining room of their house with a box that held some festive plates and bowls for the party they were having a couple hours.

"Yes Pidge?" asked Matt as he turned the TV off, stood up and made his way over to her. "Shiro should be here soon, he's bringing Keith with him too. I got him a gift this year actually." said Pidge as she took a plate from the box and placed them around the table then added silverware that was wrapped in a festive napkin beside each plate. Allura had been the one that wrapped them ahead of time since she had volunteered her help when they started planning the party back in October.

"Oh? What did you get him?" asked Matt, taking the now empty box, opened the basement door, and threw the box down the stairs. "A sweater that will match the one I'm wearing except his is red." said Pidge, picking up the present from under the decorated tree and holding it to her chest. "Awwhh, someone has a crush on Keith." Matt sang as he smiled as his little sister.

"Oh shut up Matt, so what if I do." said Pidge as she giggled with a smile appearing on her face."You're allowed to have a crush on whoever you want Katie. Is everything ready for the party?" asked Matt as he pulled out a stool stored under the counter to sit on.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure everything is ready. You're right about that, Hunk said he'd make his homemade shredded chicken sandwich recipe and bring it as the main course for tonight." said Pidge sitting next to her brother. "Awhh sweet! His sandwiches are the bomb dot com!" said Matt licking his lips at the thought of the delicious sandwich.

"Is anyone else coming besides Shiro,Allura, Keith,Lance, and Coran?" Pidge asked, tapping her fingers on the counter. "No, not that I know of. What's the plan with Keith tonight little sis?" asked Matt as he nudged her with his elbow. "Well I'm gonna give him the gift after dinner and we'll see what happens after that." said Pidge as she gave a smirk that only Matt knew what it meant. "That's all you're gonna do? Give him a measly gift?" asked Matt as he signaled quotation marks with both of his fingers. "That's totally all I'm gonna do." Pidge said sarcastically, rolling her eyes in the process. "Katie Olivia Holt, what are you not telling your big brother?" said Matt as he curiously looked at her.

"First of all, that's not my middle name, and second I'm going to tell him how I feel, there's other times I could tell him but I'm determined to do that very thing tonight after I give him the sweater." said Pidge putting her hands together and fiddled with her thumbs. "I knew you were hiding something from me. Do whatever you need to do. If you need me to distract the rest of them I can do just that." said Matt as a smile appeared across his face. "Yeah that would be great." said Pidge as she heard the doorbell ring.

"Do you want to get the door Pidge?" asked Matt as he turned in his chair to face the door. "Yep." said Pidge as she popped the p at the end and checked through the peephole before opening the door.

"Hey!" the Holt siblings said in unison as Shiro and Keith entered the Holt's residence. "What's up?" said Shiro as he set his jacket over the back of the couch. "Just waiting for the rest of the gang to get here. How've you guys been?" asked Pidge as she sat on the ground next to the warm fireplace Matt had started about an hour beforehand.

"Just the usual Blade stuff and trying to get Lance's sister, Veronica off my tail." said Keith as he sat down next to Pidge. "Why is she on your tail?" asked Pidge, crossing her legs. "It's an expression, but basically I think she likes me but I don't like her in that way." said Keith as he fidgeted with his fingers.
