The little girl plays around in her room quietly, spinning around with her stuffed bunny. She could hear screaming from the other side of the door as her parents were arguing once again.

"I hate you, you cheating bastard!" Her mother screams, a crash coming right after.

"Well if you were involved with my life at all, I wouldn't have to be thinking of other women you bitch!" Her father screams. The little girl sighs, holding back her tears. She sits on her bed, knowing one of her parents will come and take her out of the house. A soft breeze chills the room as the little girl glances around, feeling as if she's being watched.

"Well well, look at what we have here," A static-like voice says behind her. She spins around, hopping off her bed to see a creature floating in the air above her with a wide, yellow-toothed grin. His red eyes watch her with amusement as she holds her breath in fear.

He stands at least seven-foot tall, dressed in a red pinstripe tailcoat with a black bowtie sitting under his pointed chin. Atop of his head sits a set of sharp, black deer-like antlers and... ears? Maybe tufts of hair? Like his outfit, his hair is a blood red with black tips. An eye glass sits lightly on his left eye, also somehow staying put without a frame. The child is terrified of that wide smile staring at her. He lowers down to the ground, bending to the child's height, and with a staticky, radio-like voice he speaks again.

"Pardon the intrusion little girl, I heard a commotion and felt as if it were my duty to inspect." He says.

"W-what a-are you m-mister?" The girl asks, stuttering. She stumbles back a bit, nearly tripping over her feet.

"No need to be afraid my dear, I am here to make it better." He says formally.

"Make what better, mister?" She asks, now curious.

Another crash causes a commotion on the other side of the door, causing the girl to flinch violently. The creature quickly makes the girl face him as he continues smiling widely. He takes out both of his hands, causing a red smoke to emit from his palms, the girl lost in the trance of the magic.

"I have a gift for you, dear," He says, a small ring with a red gem in the center suddenly popping up in his hand. She gasps, confused and fascinated.

"A beautiful young lady like you deserves a gift." He says gently, holding his smile. She looks up at him, looking into his red eyes with her baby blue ones.

"You're a really kind mister." She says softly, a hint of blush spreading across her cheeks. His smile becomes more genuine, softly slightly. He slides it onto her pointer finger carefully. It shines brightly as it's placed on her. She now smiles happily, watching the creature stand back up to his full height, spinning his radio-like cane around.

The door crashes open as the child's father comes storming into her room.

"You, this is your fucking fault. You ruined my goddamn life ever being born you bastard!" He screams at the girl, violently shoving her onto the bed. Tears threaten to spill down her eyes as she looks around the room for the strange man that was there seconds before, but he seems to be nowhere in sight. She decides now is not a good time to tell her father about the creature, but she realizes he would never believe her, only making the situation worse. Her father continues to spout nonsense, the girl crying silently taking the verbal abuse. Until his hand landed harshly on her cheek, causing her to fall to the floor with a thud. He slapped her, screaming louder. Her mother is at the doorway now screaming at him again.
