By the time they had returned, her brother was already there, and Rafe had found himself and his wolf much calmer.

"James, do you mind staying here for a while we try to finish the serum?" Tyra said to him as soon as she followed him through the door.

Having him near Jasmine, where he could take samples more often if needed would help with progression. So would being near those infected so he could study both sides of it. The parents were desperate enough, they might be willing.

"Of course. It should be a lot faster when we can work together." James said in answer as he set down the book he had been reading while waiting for them.

" I want this over with and the sooner we can figure it out, the sooner we can release the serum and how to manufacture it." As soon as the public had access to it, the others should calm down because there wouldn't be money to be made. Hopefully, everyone else would then lose interest in Jasmine.

" I am going to order extra patrols and training for the pack. Let me know what you will need, and we can arrange it. " Rafe told them, then left the pair alone to figure everything else out.

"You told him?" James asked of her as soon as Rafe left, and Tyra immediately nodded. Surprise covered his face before he recovered, and his face became neutral again. Yea she knew, it was a big step.

" I want this over once and for all and we will need both the pack and coven to keep her safe." She reminded him, still nervous of what she had done, but he was smart and had already figured it out. Now she just wanted his help keeping Jasmine safe until the danger had passed.

"The coven can focus on gathering the resources once we find the cure. In doing so, we can ensure that to some extent, there won't be price gouging as well." Her brother said and she went quiet in thought. She hadn't thought of that. Most of what they needed could be grown, but they needed time to grow.

"Let me know what you need for the lab, and I will get it set up in the infirmary next door." She told her brother.

" I am going to see if we can set up a greenhouse of sorts to start growing the herbs now so that at least for a while, those who need the cure can get it." She told him, deciding she needed to find Rafe again and see what could be done.

Making progress made her feel better. She felt like she was finally accomplishing something to end this nightmare that had been her life since Jasmine's birth. Maybe then, she and Rafe could work on themselves and finally be a couple. Sure, they had made a lot of progress, but she wanted time with just the two of them without the stress that came with the situation now.

Giggling made her smile as she made her way into the living room, leaving her brother to make his list. He was the only one she would trust with Jasmine and the structuring of the cure. While they had been on the run, James had gone to school and was still learning what he needed to try and develop the cure. She could never repay him for his brotherly acceptance, as well as his aid since then.

Tyra found Jasmine with her grandparents and was glad that recent events didn't seem to have affected her as much as Tyra feared.

"Mommy." Jasmine said as soon as she saw her and Tyra's heart melted at the sound. All her worries fell away as her daughter ran to her.

"My little one." Tyra said as soon as her arms were around her. Tyra couldn't wait for all this to be over so her daughter could have her childhood back and could act her age.

"Mommy. I want to help." Jasmine said to her and Tyra suppressed a sigh at her words as she came to a compromise. She wasn't alone anymore, she reminded herself.
