The two men could only stand there in their hug as Phillips father walked off. Y/N felt his grip weaken, "Should I let go now or are you forever going to bind me like this?" Phillip widened his eyes and loosened his grip. "Oh yeah— yeah." Phillip answered, only shocked by what he had just done. He could feel the embarrassment creeping up on him.
"What did he do as I was embracing you?" Asked Y/N, tilting his head curiously. "He.. he smiled, I think he believed it." Phillip felt himself begin to smile, "Ohhhh yeah, baby, I think I might get a ticket outta here!"
"A ticket out of your own house?" Y/N questioned. "No, I meant out of here with you— just— just shut up okay?!" Phillip commanded as he gestured toward the sky, "This might mean I don't have to see your face anymore! If we keep this goin', then—"
"If we keep this going, I shall return to my family and you shall be left in peace. If you purposefully come back to me to tease and torment me, then I shall take it you did want to see my face after all." Y/N muttered, crossing his arms and stepping to the right slightly.
"Oh, please," Phillip groaned, "I just like messing with you. I never wanna see your face."
Y/N rolled his eyes. "Really!" Phillip exclaimed, "You think I'd like to see a bummer like you?"
"With your constant unwanted visits, I would assume so." Y/N closed his eyes, turning his back on the freckled man. "If anything, I like seeing your reactions better. Your face is just a disgrace I have to endure." Phillip argued, turning his back on Y/N too.
"Is that so?" Y/N replied, slightly turning his head, only to be met with the sight of Phillips back. "Yep." Phillip simply answered. "Then in that case, I return those words." Y/N said, turning his head back towards the floor of the street.
————
"What on earth are you doing?"
That was the question Y/N found himself asking the freckled man.
Phillip had randomly vanished while Y/N was attempting to purchase a book he could use for his spare time, but he found Phillip no longer being present as he did so. He was nearly tempted to just let him get lost, and leave him there; but he knew his father wouldn't be so happy if that had happened.
So, casually, he looked around the streets of the city with the book in his arms. And finally, he had found him in the corner of a dress shop, though he found it rather unusual he'd be there. But he found himself sighing with frustrated realization once he realized his dear enemy was surrounded by two women.
One of them was swooning at his very appearance, fondling him as if he were some soft texture. And one of them only excitedly looked at him, looking as if she were going to faint with every word he had even spoke. Phillip, however, just kept a smirk and looked down at the two ladies with uncontrollable desire.
"For what purpose are you here, Hamilton?" Y/N sighed, walking up to the taller man. Phillip looked at him and furrowed his eyebrows, "Oh, great, the party-pooper is here."
"Childish insults," Y/N muttered, "how mature of you." It seemed he was going to have further discussion on maintaining a false image for the public once more, as he had seemingly decided to ignore that part of the plan.
"Psssh," One of the ladies snorted, "what's a loser like you doing here?"
"I'm here to see what the man I am supposed to be spending my time with is doing, Miss. Do not defend him so blindly just because you find him physically attractive." Y/N replied to the ladies insult with no further expression or thought in his eyes.
"Hey, I'm not defending him just 'cuz he's attractive! What's your deal with using such weird grammar anyway?" She snarled, softly snuggling into Phillips neck as if she were cuddling him.
"Whats your deal with not using any? I figured someone intelligent would actually have enough logic to not nonsensically defend some random man whom you don't even know that well." Y/N said, putting his book inside of his other arm, and letting one arm go free.
"Excuse me?!" She gasped. "Hey, man, that's not a proper way to talk to a lady!" Phillip defended, protectively putting an arm around her. "Her gender is no excuse for such foolish behavior. She doesn't need to be spoken to softly just because she's a woman." Y/N calmly said back.
"You could at least be more polite though!" Phillip snapped back. "Yeah, what's your deal?! Couldn't you at least be more sympathetic?!" The other lady said, putting two hands on her hips.
"Sympathetic to what?" Y/N tilted his head, "Her lack of intelligence? Please."
Phillip snarled as if he were some wild animal, and raised his arm in an attempt to punch the other man. But Y/N only sighed with frustration, and managed to mutter out; "If you plan on spending the rest of your time out here with some weird women, then I shall be going back to your house."
"Hey, you come back here!" He heard Phillip yell from behind him. Though Y/N did not follow through with that request. Y/N ignored his cries of anger, and began to tread over to the Hamilton House.
————
"Y/N. Do come in."
It was the sound of Phillip's father's voice. He caught sight of him sitting on the couch, with a polite smile spread across on his olive-skinned face. Y/N forced a smile back, and set the book on the table in front of the couch.
"Do sit down, I need to talk with you." His father softly said, clasping a hand over his other hand.
Y/N paused a bit, and then set himself down on a random chair that had been sitting on the other side of the table. A fire was blazing in a firepit, had Hamilton lit it before he came in? Was it perhaps to set a cozy mood?
"What is it you need, sir?" Y/N asked, crossing his legs and looking into Alexander's eyes of violet-blue. Alexander smiled, "I saw how you and Phillip embraced while I was heading off to work today."
Y/N didn't say anything, and only widened his eyes. He had to pretend as if he didn't know, he had to. "You.. did?" Y/N said in a false-surprised tone, "Oh, my good sir, I didn't notice you. I apologize. For why were you heading off to work so late?"
"I had a bit of—" Alexander coughed, "—problems this morning. It was a bit hard for me to finally get there."
"I see.." Y/N mumbled, "but, Alexander, i think I and your son have reasoned our doubts and complaints of eachother. I believe that with our time spent together, we can grow close as friends, and form a close platonic bond with one another."
"Yes, exactly!" Alexander happily exclaimed, "Which is why I'll be increasing your amount of time spent together up to three hours."
...
If Y/N were drinking a cup of coffee, he'd spit it all out right now.
