The night was silent, almost silent enough for Jacob to sleep. He was drifting in and out of consciousness, for whenever he begin to sleep, the pain his body bared for the beatings of Villianman and Speedvillian awoke him harshly. He was left alone to his thoughts, his porn, and the sounds of the night. The wind howled like a wolf at the moon, tree leaves shuffled around outside, and the house was silent.

The gift they were given seemed to also bear a curse, as his body could tell. The curse could prove to affect more than just the Jackson family, however. What if they were killed one day by these up-and-coming villains? It wouldn't be hard for them to go on to take over the world, and while over dramatic, it also seemed realistic. With the powers of super strength and super speed, they could quite possibly take out armies, and similar to Hitler himself, cause a world war and win.

The thought frightened him, and rightfully so. The far fetched idea wasn't as far fetched as it seemed, and the thought, along with his physical pain, left him wide awake.

Just like the fateful night that changed his life forever, a suspicious sound came from downstairs. Jacob forced his sore, broken body out of bed, careful not to wake Kiera, who was sound asleep in bed next to him. Thinking it might have been Sam getting a midnight snack, Jacob put on some drawers and crawled over to his room, and peered through a crack in the door. Sam was sound asleep, just like that night many years ago. After the door closed, Sam, seemingly awake, pulled out a laptop from under the bed and muttered "Can't a superhero masturbate in this fucking house?"

Jacob crept down the stairs which led to the living room, and scanned the darkness. He heard no sounds, and only saw the pitch black. As he listened, he almost thought he heard a door click shut. His heart pounding like the beat of a drum, he forced himself into the kitchen, where the backdoor was. He stood still, careful not to make a move. After peering into the darkness for what felt like hours, he flipped on the light switch. His heart jumped from his chest at the sight he saw.

This time, the noise was loud enough to stop Sam's little session, who shot out of bed. In the hallway, he saw Kiera in Jacob's bedroom doorway, hair a mess and half naked, which totally helped Sam's raging semi. They looked at each other and the sounds of smashing and yelling came from the kitchen. Sam led the charge downstairs just in time to see Jacob, in nothing but underwear, flying through the living room before smashkng hard into a wall, denting it greatly. Sam turned to see a smiling Villianman followed by a somber and tired looking SpeedVillian in the doorway. Villianman let out a chuckle before cracking his knuckles and charging at the horrified younger brother.

Kiera doged out the way to see Villianman clobber Sam, knocking him to the ground. The brute lifted Sam up by his throat and chucked him across the room like a mere pillow. Except, he didn't hit the opposite wall like a pillow. He hit it like a rock, denting it almost as aggressively as Strengthman had. Kiera stood frozen in place, horrified. It occured to her that she had been letting out screams, but nobody seemed to notice. Her tears reacher her lips and tasted salty, which helped get the taste of semon oout if her mouth, and she almost fell over backing up the staircase.

How did the villians learn where they lived? Hadn't they already battled tonight? What was the issue between them? They got away with robbing a bank, why not go home and lay low? Enjoy the fact that you have all this money to yourselves? Why not order a dirty movie or buy some prostitutes? But the big question on her mind was the most horrifying; how will we survive the night?

Speedvillian merly stood in the kitchen doorway, painful expressions crossing his tired face with every crushing blow delivered to the heroes and every frightened scream from the half naked chick. Kiera looked confused, but was glad as well. She was also glad that Villianman paid her no attention, but almost wanted to join Jacob and Sam as the pain of watching them get beaten to death was too much to bear.

Villianman kicked a broken Sam in the jaw before moving on to Jacob again. Sam's mouth leaked of blood and he screamed in immence, blood curling pain. Villianman lifted a near helpless Jacob to his feet. He tossed the grown man like a toy towards Speedvillian, who looked with wide, scared eyes at the man.

"Come on," shouted Villianman. "Have some fun!" Speedvillian looked on, a nervous face masking his terrified emotions. Villianman walked intensely over to his shy partner in crime, before angerly repeating himself; "I said, have some fun."

Speedvillian stayed silent a moment, before looking at the fallen heros and returning his gaze to his partner, "No. They've had enough."

Villianman's eyebrows raised, and he let the question "Oh, they have?" escape from his lips, though it sounded annoyed and intense. "This is supposed to be a fun night for us." He continued. "We finally take them out. Are you seriously going to be a fucking buzzkill? I don't want to hurt you." Speedvillian thought for a minute, processing what his longtime friend just said to him. "You'll die with them tonight. Do as I say. Now have. Some. Fun." Villianman sounded beyond annoyed at this stage, and that seemed to persuade Speedvillian enough to help up Jacob, who was trying to crawl away.

Speedvillian gripped his body like a hug from behind and lifted up the large mass of a man, before pushing him against the wall were Sam laid. Speedvillian collapsed with Jacob against the wall, as he was obviously very torn up about the situation he was in. He whispered "I'm sorry," in Jacobs ear before unloading super-fast rights and lefts at his face.

After a full minute of brutal, hyper-speed punches, Speedvillian collapsed against the wall, tears flooding his face. Strengthman fell to the ground, and didn't move an inch, out cold, a crimson mask of his own blood and welts consuming his face. Villianman took several steps toward him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I knew you'd see it my way." His words chilled the air around him, you could feel the heartless emotion he always carried with him. Dude, this guy needs to get laid. Maybe he wouldn't be so grumpy. Any takers? He then turned toward Speedman down the wall, but only saw a puddle of blood. No body, no courpse, nothing but blood. The blood trailed off across the room toward the staircase, where Kiera was crouched over the man who couldn't even stand. Villianman shook his head and walked toward them, to which a frightened Kiera stood up, just in time to be grabbed by the throat and tossed onto a shelf down the room, landing with a crash.

She laid there in pain, and could only listen to the beating Speedman then took from the masked assailant. She had spoken to Speedman over by that staircase, and his only words flooded her mind: "Get the gun. In the safe. 536372."

She forced herself up, and luckily, the small safe was on the same shelf she was thrown into. She typed in the password into the buttons on the safe, which opened with a click and a squeak as the door popped open. She swung it open and went to grab the gun, but a large hand beat her to it. "Not so fast, you little pest," rang in her ears, and she turned as Villianman placed the cold gun barrel onto her forehead. She lifted her hands up in the air, but knew it would be no use. Tears flooded her face as she realized the enviable: she was going to die.

"You know, hun, you've been a little pest tonight; And as these boys know, when you have pests in the house, you gotta take care of them!" Villianman took off the gun's safety in time for Jacob's voice, now conscious, to scream "NO!" He then lept up and charged at Villianman, tackling him to the ground, with several books and such to fall along with the shelf onto them. Jacob, who was on top, grabbed for the gun, but could not get it out of the gunman's grip. He resorted to a headbutt, which forced Villianman to release his grip with a grunt, and Jacob rose up, shrugging off the debris of the house.

He pointed the gun at Villianman, backed up and pointed it at Speedvillian as well, who was watching with wide, glazed eyes. He put his hands up, admitting defeat. Villianman slowly rose from the ground, and the cold words he spoke filled the air, "It won't end like this." Before he charged Jacob, who swung the gun around and fired at Villianman. He fell backwards and collapsed, blood flowing out of a bullet hole in his left rib cage. Police sirens were heard in the distance, followed by flashing red and blue lights. Finally, Jacob thought, the nightmare was over.
