Back at the house, Speedman slammed the door shut and sat on the couch, holding his ribs in pain. Strengthman, not sure of his partner's frustration, asked "What's the problem? It's one villain. We can't catch them all."

Speedman stood up, and started fuming. "You know, this is honestly the one thing I have taken seriously in my life. Other than our parents, I just don't care. I don't care about finding love, or settling down. But then, something comes along that actually matters to me. We fight crime. We change lives. That girl in the red dress could have been scarred forever if we didn't save her! She could have been fucking raped! We stopped that from happening. That means the world to me, but you? No. Your girl is more important. All this is second to a bitch who leads you on and doesn't give a fuck about you like I do!"

Strengthman took off his mask, revealing the face of Jacob and the face of a man who realized shit just got real. He was bloody, bruised, sweaty, and now angry. "Some bitch? I don't know about you and your immature ass, but there is more to life than a party! I can have a wife! A kid! A rugrat of my own and just because of some freak accident, I won't change my life for it!"

"Well, it's kind of late for that! You didn't see that? Those guys are faster than us, stronger than us, and yet we have the superpowers? We almost died! You can't have kids if you're dead! Like it or not, everything is different now, and it will be forever. Now know your role, accept our fates and shut the fuck up!"

At this point, the two were screaming at each other. Shit wasn't just real, it was fucking hyper realistic.

"Don't tell me what to do! I've always been in charge here!"

     "I'm no fucking sidekick!"

"It's been that way since we were kids, Sam!

"Not true! Shut up! If you can't man up and accept responsibility, then GET THE FUCK OUT!"

"I can't man up? Who got themselves into a fight they couldn't handle? Who had to save the day? ME! Like always, I'm here to clean up your mess. You want me out? Fine, fuck you, GOODBYE!"

The door slammed shut behind him, rattling the whole house and breaking the front door off it's hinges. Speedman sighed and put his hands on his hips. After a moment, he picked up a nearby lamp and threw it, before sitting down and putting his bloody face in his hands. Awkward...

Kiera heard a knock on her door, which was very unusual for this time of night. She paused the copyrighted movie she was watching, placed the copyrighted ice cream brand she held on a nearby coffee table, and got up. She gasped at the horror she saw through the peephole. She flung the door open, and there stood a limping, bruised, bloody, Jacob Jackson.

"J-Jacob, what happened?" Her eyes were wider than a high school girl. Jacob nervously smiled before responding. "I need a place to stay. Sam is pissed." Kiera looked curious. "Why? Did he do this to you?" Jacob shook his head. "Umm...I need to tell you something. It's very important. But you need to keep it a secret. May I come in?" Kiera stepped back as Jacob entered, and the door slowly shut behind him.

Meanwhile, Sam had finally showered, washed himself off, and layed on the couch, ready to turn in for the night. He was almost lost in his wet dreams before he heard a loud knock on the door. He stumbled up to his feet, rubbed his eyes, and almost jumped at the second series of loud, thunderous knocks. "One sec." Was Sam's reply as he limped to the door, and opened it to find Denzel and Arron standing there. The smiles that stained their faces immediately washed away at the sight of Sam's face, and Denzel immediately asked "What the hell happened?"

Sam just limped back to his couch and sit down, his two foster parents in tow. "Sam," stressed Arron. "What happened?" Sam just let out a heavy sigh. "I got jumped." Denzel jumped in. "Where is your brother?"

"Out." Sam said sternly. After a moments pause, Sam added, "probably getting fucked by Kiera. This probably wouldn't have happened if he wasn't with her so often. He chooses her over our jobs, our brotherhood, even his own life and I'm sick of it."

The silence that followed was long and painful. Arron was the first to finally speak. "Sam, there is something you've got to realize. You and your brother are bonded by more than blood. Twenty five long years ago he saved your life, as well as his own. You'd be dead if it wasn't for his quick wits as a child." Denzel cleared his throat loudly, as if telling Arron to change the topic. Arron continued, "One day, you may find out things aren't as they seem to be. Life long friends may be out to get you, the ones you love may use you. The only one who won't, though, is your brother. Some day I'll be gone, Denzel will be gone, and all you'll have is Jacob. So I suggest you take your balls out of your damn purse and make up with him!"

Sam knew these words were true, but had no idea where Jacob had actually went. "I don't know where he is. Besides, he won't pick up his cell, he's just as pissed off as I am." Arron gave Sam a smirk and picked up Sam's phone off the living room table, handing it to it's owner. "We both know where he is." Was all Arron said.

Sam took the phone from Arron and looked at it for awhile. A smartphone, good for many things, but not all. Is there an app to fix lives? Probably. There is an app for everything. Look it up and let us know in the comments. Sam scrolled to his contacts and hit the call button by Kiera's name.

Kiera's face was built off of nothing but shock and skin. Jacob nooded his head. "You just can't tell a soul." Kiera nooded, still winded by what she was told. "Okay....now...go take a shower." Jacob got to his feet and walked to the bathroom, door quietly closing behind him.

Is was around this time Kiera's cell began buzzing. She checked her phone's caller ID, which read Sam's name. She answered "Hello?" Sam was on the other line, of course, who immediately answered, "Hi, is Jacob there?"

Kiera began fuming as she remembered Sam through Jacob out in his time of need, all because of her. "No. He's not. Why do you care?" Sam sighed on the other line, and paused before responding. "That was my mistake. It just pissed me off that he left and I suffered for it."

Kiera paused before responding, thinking of what to say. "You made him walk here, covered in blood and sore, because you were pissed he has more to his life than you?" Sam became so furious you could almost hear him fuming on the other line. "Excuse me hoe, you forget that I'm his brother! What are you again, his fuck buddy? He fucking loves you yet you use him for your own vindictive needs then throw him away! While I'm not his whole life, I'm certainly the better part of it!" Kiera was silent. She knew what he said was true, but she couldn't face the truth. Was she really leading him on? She thought it wasn't a serious relationship, but if Sam said it then it must be true. She sighed this time, before saying "he's hurt. He will sleep over here. He will talk to you tomorrow." and she dropped the phone, but played it off by hanging it up.
