Chapter 9: Saving a Special Holiday ~ Part 1

Earlier, sometime after the events of Worlds Unite...

The sun rays landed on a peaceful world. A world where all is well-balanced. Grasses and trees were seen outside Onyx city. Quietness spread the skies, except the wind brushing through the grasses and leaves.

Then, suddenly, a portal appeared.

"Oomph!"

Then, out of the portal came Silver the Hedgehog. Silver landed flat on his face as he fell out of the portal. His left leg rose onto his foot before his left hand landed on his knee. Then, his right foot followed and then, he rose up.

Now that Silver was on his feet, he rushed to the campsite immediately.

In the campsite...

The campsite was the usual place Silver stayed in. Inside were Aleyah, Gold and Professor Von Schlemmer. They were currently sitting on the crates gathered around in what it seemed to be a campfire, but it's not lit up.

Right now, they were waiting for Silver. They were seen chatting with each other for entertainment as they needed something to pass the time before the certain silver-white hedgehog arrived. But worry was also increasing in Aleyah. Concerned filled her eyes as her eyes switched to the narrow alley where Silver usually entered the campsite.

Soon enough, Silver finally arrived in the campsite.

"Hey, guys! How's it going?" he asked his friends.

Aleyah, Schlemmer and Gold immediately turned to him. Smiles were plastered on Gold 's and Schlemmer's faces.

"Oh, hi, Silver. We're doing fine, thank you," Gold said.

"Hello, mein friend," Schlemmer said.

Aleyah's eyes immediately lit up once she saw Silver. "Silver!"

Then, she launched herself foward and hugged him. "I was worried you'd never come back!"

Silver was tensed at first, but a few moments later, he slowly and a bit nervously, hugged her back. "I'm fine, Leyah. Thanks for worrying about me."

Unbeknownst to the two hedgehogs, Gold and Schlemmer covered their mouths and tried their best to not snicker about them being romantically together, but only slight snorts escaped their mouths.

After a few moments, Silver and Aleyah pulled away from the hug.

Silver's warm and happy expression turned into a serious one. He took a few steps forward as he asked Gold. "I got your message, Gold. You said there's a problem to solve and it's really important. What's it all about?"

"Well..." Gold trailed off.

Aleyah, Gold and Schlemmer turned to each other in concern. Then, they turned back to Silver.

"...you see..."

Present Day

It's been a month since the Prophecy of the Kogansetsu Ninja was fulfilled. Now, land was covered in snow, carols were sung, and everyone lived as happy as can be. That's right! Today is Christmas Eve and Christmas is one of the most special days in all the year.

In the castle of Mobotropolis, the Christmas decorations were almost prepared. Tails was seen flying up, putting the final end of the Christmas banner to another. After that, he turned to Nigel Acorn from the top of the ladder.

"Okay. That's the last of them," he said, giving him a thumbs up.

"Nice job, Tails!" Nigel said happily. "Now, we just have to ready ourselves for our Christmas Party!"
