Chapter 5
Kasey
I've had two stressful days but today's the girl's birthday and they've opened all their presents from me and are happy with all of them. "Girl's I need both of you to go get ready uncle logan coming to take you out for your birthday" they both shout and run upstairs with some of their new clothes to get ready I don't need to help them now because I know they will chose the same outfits and match everything they wear. Cleaning up the mess they made in the living area I hear the intercom go off knowing that Logan is here to take the girl's to the zoo before their party which will give him extra time to speak to Matt and sort the house before the girl's get here. "Yes Jeff" "your brother is here for the twins Ms. James" his always so formal I ask him to call me Kasey but he won't he even calls the girl's Miss. Ashleigh and Miss. Bayleigh they love it so I don't mind him calling us that "ok let him through thanks Jeff".
Walked over and unlocked the door opening it for Logan to come in "morning sis" "morning" walking back towards the kitchen to tidy it up "ready for today" "yes, I'm ready but I'm also a little worried about the matt situation" he comes over and gives me a hug "it will be okay Kasey don't worry mom and dad will be there with you to explain if you can't" "they're going to hate me I know it but it's not my fault I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen Logan I promise I tried" I say with tears welling up my eyes "Kasey, it's going to be on after you explain everything and say I said I'm sorry for taking his DNA without asking but we needed it for when this day would come" I laugh because that's the only thing his worried about "yeah I will Logan he won't hate you it will be me he has to know that he has ten year old daughters he never knew about" I say looking down at the ground I know this isn't going to be good but I've got to down it for the girls "it will be fine you will see" he says walking towards the stairs "GIRL'S! Hurry up I'm here and ready to go" shouting as he waits by the front door "see you later sis" "bye". I hear the girl's running down the stairs "wait uncle Logan were coming" they shout as they come to the bottom "hurry then beauties" Logan calls before walking out the door to the car, the girl's get to the door but stop in their tracks and turn around both running off towards me they give me a hug and a kiss goodbye and their running out the door "be safe" "okay" they shout as their closing the door.
Finally after hours of getting everything ready for the party I'm finished but I have to go out on my bike to get one last present so after showering I make my way to the jewellery store I'm buying them both lockets with a picture of the three of us on one side and their dad on the other side with writing on the outside of the locket saying "with love, forever and always" because I will always love my girl's and I think their old enough not to lose or break them now. My mom and dad were already at my house letting guest into the garden were the party would be held and all the food would be in the kitchen don't want any bugs getting into the food. Driving up my driveway I see my parents outside talking to some people as I get closer I know who they are its Matt and his family with his best friend and a couple of kids I wonder if any of them are Matt's, when I get closer them ideas disappear because them kids look like Dave and Amy. Amy's also wearing a wedding ring her and Dave got married she always wanted to be with him since we were kids I'm happy she got what she wanted and they've got kids too, one looks to be about eight or nine and Amy's is holding a little girl who looks to be about three or four and I have to say they're both adorable.
Pulling my bike just off in front of them so I can keep it close to the front door and not have anyone hit it because they can't drive. My parents are smiling but still looking worried as I get off my bike and walk towards them "Kasey come and say hello to the Jacob's" taking of my helmet I see all their shocked faces as I do. I smirk walking up to the "Long time no see" as I shake Mr. Jacob's hand his smiling down at me "yes it has been a long time since we've seen you beautiful girl" I smile back at him he always called me beautiful girl and matt always called me beautiful ever since I met them when I was thirteen, "yes ten years and so much has changed I see" I say as I'm pulled into a hug by Mrs. Jacob's "I missed you sweet girl" "me too" then I'm passed onto to Amy who hugs me harder than anyone else I've missed her so much I can't believe we haven't seen each other for ten years "don't leave me again I've missed you babe" "I've missed you too, so much" we both have tears in our eyes and then I turn to Dave "my husband who you already know Dave" he gives me a little hug "nice to see you Kasey" letting going of Dave I look at him and say "nice to see you too" last but not least the guy who broke my heart ten long years ago and left me to raise our beautiful daughters on my own. He looks at me uncertain of what to do so I take the lead and put my hand out for him to shake "nice to see you as well matt" he shakes my hand and says in a raspy voice I love so much "and you beautiful" I smile and take a step back and walk over towards my parents
