When Nene entered SEKAI that morning, she knew something was terribly wrong. The usually vivid and explosive colours were muted and dull. None of the fairground rides were working and a grey fog crept along the floor. What had happened to Tsukasa? She wondered worriedly. Just then, Rui appeared next to her, muttering to himself about some new robot he was building, or something. Nene heard him gasp when he took in the once bright surroundings.
"Nene, do you know how this happened?" He asked her slowly.
"Not any more than you. I've only been here for like three minutes anyways."
Emu would not like to see the place this become, Nene thought as she spotted a royal blue out in the distance, a beacon of light amongst the dusky colours.
"Miku!" Nene yelled, her voice reaching the loudest it had gone in SEKAI. The two watched as Miku ran over to them hurriedly. She looked rather distressed about the event occurring to her home.
"Miku. Do you know what's happened?" Rui asked, his voice starting off scratchy but soon returning to his usual calm lull.
"I think so. This change in tone must mean that Tsukasa's true feelings have been changed somehow! This isn't good. You two have to help him get better, okay? Please, do it for us here. Do it for him." And with that, Miku turned away and seemed to disappear into the growing shadows.
"That was unusually serious of her." Nene observed. Even though she didn't exactly enjoy Tsukasa's antics at the best of times, she still felt herself growing extremely concerned about him. Rui hummed in agreement before turning to her.
"Nene, we have to tell Emu. I'm sure she'd know what to do. She's great at making people smile. Plus, she deserves to know, she comes here too." Nene nodded. Emu was their only hope since neither of them knew Tsukasa's sister.
They decided to meet at the Scramble Crossing with Emu and figure things out from there. They parted ways and left the gloomy shell of a SEKAI once filled with the most wonder.
