"You have to be fucking kidding me."

________

The car ride was silent as Gale drove the car and Sidney kept an eye out on where Sam was going. Carmen rested her body in the back seat trying to relax as much as possible before anything else happened. So far her body wasn't hurting much and the only pain she would feel was the thumping from her wounds. The more she saved her energy the more she can fight. Well that's how she sees it anyways.

"If I hadn't written that book about your mother, none of this would have happened." Gale spoke, breaking the silence of the car ride.

Carmen opened her eyes and set up in her seat at her aunts accusing words. "Gale-" Sidney tried but Gale shook her head.

"I started all of this."

"No you didn't. Billy Loomis started this and we're going to end it." Carmen wanted to interrupt and say Roman started it but it didn't seem like the time to do so. Even though it would have been accurate information. "After tonight no more books, no movies, no more fucking Ghostface."

"Agreed," Carmen hummed. Ghostface being out of their lives is exactly what everyone in the car needed. "Now where is she?" Carmen lifted her head over her mothers shoulder to look at the screen.

"A few miles down the road." Sam's little icon was on the screen not far from where they were.

Carmen's phone started to vibrate as she looked over her mothers shoulder. Looking down in her hands her dad's face was lit up on her screen. "Uh oh." She voiced with quiet panic but the other two picked up on it.

Sidney frowned looking back at her daughter who was staring blankly at the vibrating phone. "What's wrong?" She asked, concern dripping from her voice.

Carmen's eyes shifted up and locked with her mother's. "It's dad." Her eyes were wide realizing she hadn't called him.

"You better answer that." Sidney told her.

Placing the phone to her ear she cleared her throat before letting out a, "hey daddy." Sidney's eyes glistened with amusement as she looked at Carmen. The younger girl glared at her mother for finding joy in the moment.

"Carmen are you okay?" Mark Kincade let out fast barely regeristring her greeting.

"Yeah dad I'm okay." Carmen let out trying to her relax her father's nerves. She was far from alright but he didn't need to know at this moment in time.

"You sure? You didn't call me and your mom said you would. The girls were asking about you because mom said she was going to get you." Mark said fast and before Carmen could reply he went on. "The group came to the house earlier worried about you because you haven't answered their messages or phone calls." She cringed into herself at the mention of her friends. She had been ignoring their messages and calls the whole day and even the day before. "Also Nico is extremely worried." The mention of her boyfriend being worried set a pang of guilt straight to her heart.
