Part 1

I believe in soulmates, it might sound corny or that it's stupid but I think you will probably end up believing in it too, or not we'll see but hopefully, you end up believing in it just like I do.

"Aaliyah bro get up it's your first day back to school your gonna be late," Anaya yells as she knocks on my door.

I groan, knowing I have to get up but I can't stand going back to school since I have to see Him, him as the beloved horrible ex that has done things to me that I always get sick to my stomach even thinking about it. Luckily I'm over him but I can never get over the whole situation, I know it'll take a while for me to finally get the strength to accept the fact that it happened but I also hope I can finally get the opportunity to have someone that stays by my side and that I can trust.

 I finally got up and started getting ready for school, I decided to look decent since it was the first day of school but who was I trying to impress? I was only a tiny bit excited about school since it was finally my senior year but also because I get to see my best friend, I missed that asshole I can't deny it and say I didn't know damn I missed him since he was the person I told everything to besides my sister. 

I finished getting ready and start heading to the kitchen I find my dad laying on the kitchen floor. I sigh knowing he probably got home late from " working", I always knew he wasn't working.

Quick backstory, my father started becoming a drug addict ever since my mother passed from overdosing, I don't know what got my dad to start doing drugs since he knows my mom passed away from drugs itself, but I can't judge if the love of my life passed I wouldn't think twice before ruining my life, it hurts knowing that he won't get help to try to get better but at least he should try because he has 2 kids that love him so much, but there's so much I and Anaya can do. 

Besides that, I call Anaya to come to help me with dad so we can put him on top of the couch. "Anaya can you please come to help me, dad's "sick" again". I stand Infront of his head so Anaya gets to hold his feet and we both put all our strength to get him on top of the couch but we end up getting him on there after a few tries, surprisingly he didn't wake up he would probably freak out and start getting mad if he did.

trying to ignore what just happened I make myself some toast and coffee so I don't starve while at school, I start packing up my bookbag since I got a text from Josiah saying he's almost here to pick me up. I put on some lotion and perfume before heading out the door. 'Anaya I'm leaving Josiah's outside!'. I leave and get inside Josiah's car, I immediately hug him and tell him how much I missed him and he says it back with a smile on both our faces. Before I go on my phone I turn back seeing that there's a boy in the back of Josiah's car.' you didn't tell me you were bringing someone else?'

Oh, yea, he says I forgot to text you it but this is um Isaiah he was my best friend since first grade.

I just nod and tell Isaiah, hello but he didn't respond. What's up his ass, I think to myself. I shove that to the side and start talking to Josiah but I don't tell him what happened this morning because I don't trust the person in the car, I tend to not trust anyone anymore I really just stay to myself and not talk as much. 

We get to school and I groan getting out of the car. we start walking but I noticed Isaiah was gone, I asked Josiah and he said he probably went to go make out with someone.

oh, he's that type of guy? I say and Josiah looks at me, ' What I was just saying he sounds like a dickhead.. sorry not sorry man.

As were walking into school I see my ex in the corner of my eye I try to shove it away and pay no mind but Josiah ask me what was wrong. even though I was on the urge of crying thinking back to what happened last year, I stayed put and all I can say to Josiah was,

 " yea I'm alright".
