While on the chase, officer Danny Haler almost had the most-wanted criminal cornered. When he turned down a dead end alley way, Danny followed and was ready to shoot, but then, the criminal shot Danny straight in the head and knocked him out cold.
He was there for a while, but then other police came and got him to the hospital before he bled out. It took days for Danny to wake up but eventually he did on Thursday afternoon.
When he first opened his eyes, the nurse was checking his blood levels and making sure he was okay. The nurse looked at him but
didn't say anything. What was wrong? Was he okay? Did he get hit in the brain? Was he going to die? To try and solve his questions, he went to look in the bathroom mirror.
But something was way off, super off. In fact, he didnt see his reflection in the mirror. Now he knew he had to panic. "Help!" he screamed as he tried to call someone for assistance. No one came. Could anybody hear him. He screamed again, but no answer. He went back to his room, and saw himself laying in bed asleep. How was that possible?
He stood there, pacing back and forth, and
then it hit him, he was dead.
