In the morning, Danny went to go look for Kira. It was weird for her to "disappear" like that. Just out of the blue she left, but why?
Later that day, Danny found Kira at the Public Library. She was in the back reading what we would call ancient books. He was going to go over but he didn't because he wanted to see what she was doing. It looked like she was reading a book but there was so much more.
Kira started to mumble the text in the book. Danny still had a hard time making out the words though.
"Legends of the Crystal Amulet, Lilith's Jewel. Long, long ago, there lived the most notorious, demon of them all, Lilith. When Lilith was 7, she found an ancient stone that was never found by anybody ever." Kira repeated.
The rest of the words were mumbled for Danny, but he didn't want to know anymore. He just wanted to get out of there before Kira noticed he was there.
Then Kira started to read more. "This ancient jewel is used to detect demons of all kinds, and when it does, it glows bright red. This jewel has a bronze chain with this heart shaped stone connected to it."
Danny froze. He had a flash back of him chasing the most-wanted criminal. The criminal had the same necklace, and it was glowing too. What did this mean? Well, it meant that, the criminal is, a demon. It made sense. Perfect sense. That's why he was never seen, because he is a demon. Danny thought.
Kira got up and started to leave, and Danny was about to be seen. He had to hide. So he decided to squeeze between the book shelves. When Kira pasted, Danny wasn't noticed.
When Kira left, Danny followed her back to his apartment. When she got to the bed room, she tucked the book under her bed and put a bunch of blankets under there as well so that way the book was invisible.
Then Kira went to the bathroom to scrub her hands of the dust that was from the book. While she was gone, Danny undid the blankets and looked at the book behind them.
Danny was really surprised that Kira did not hear him following her. Although, she did have great hearing and twenty-twenty vision. Her nose was also good too. So how did she not hear him, or did she? Was she just ignoring him? Maybe. Maybe not.
Danny suddenly heard Kira coming so he redid the blankets to cover the book and then left the apartment. Danny still peeked in the door though, just to see what she was doing.
Then Danny left before Kira's excellent vision saw his eye in the door. Danny went to his work to see if there was news about any criminals, but everything was exactly as it was before. The same notes on the wall. The same everything.
Later that day, Danny went back to his apartment, and again, Kira was gone. This time though, he looked everywhere, even under his bed, but she was not there at all.
Danny was not surprised at all, since she had already done this before. So Danny didn't bother waiting to see if she would come through the door, so he fell asleep.
