"I wish we could just go," I say as I lay on Mile's chest, his hand swiftly brushing my back.
"Where would we go?" he asks.
"I don't know... with my mother... find Jake and tell him about the people from the sky and what they're building," I tilt my head up a little to look at him. "Run away" I whisper.
He stops rubbing.
"I chose you but I'm afraid to know if your people will allow me to... join them" he says.
"I'm sure once they see you, they will." I turn around so my body is laying more on top of his and I can hold his face.
"Speak from your heart and they will know" he closes his eyes for a moment, meditating.
"We have to make a plan, now," he says.
We sit up in front of each other. I know he respects my wisdom and knowledge of my people and I've grown to appreciate his mind and focus for war.
"What if we sent Spider back to our camp and they take him to Jake, so he does and tells him about the plan the people from the sky have? and about us having an alliance?" I say.
Miles shakes his head.
"The kid needs the mask to breathe and it has a tracker, anyways... Sully is not just gonna believe that I would help him," he stops and laughs a little. "Hell... I wouldn't even believe it if someone told me, but this is what I want to do" he assures me taking my hand.
"Then what about us sending a message?" I propose.
"But what would it be?" he asks.
I think about it for a moment and I know he's not gonna like my answer but it is smart and risky.
"Me" I say.
He furrows his brows and his hand loosens a little in mine, but I intertwine them.
"Let me go, let me find them and talk to them," I can see he wants to say something but I have to convince him first. "Do you trust me?" I ask resting my hand on his cheek.
"I do," he answers immediately. I can feel the but coming.
"I trust you, but I don't think that's gonna be enough. When you go and talk to him many things can go wrong or even if they don't go wrong then the humans can do... something bad." he says.
"Then what do you want? in the end, the most important thing is that we help Jake take the sky people down, and for that, we need to work together and he needs to know that we are working together" I explain.
"My love," he says taking my hand.
"That's not gonna be enough, sending a bird, sending you, smoke signals... they're not enough to fight against the humans... not this time" he explains. I shake my head, I can't accept that, I won't. I'll never let the humans take Pandora.
"We need to tell Jake, he can gather the clans... we can fight back," I say.
"We do need to tell him, but I think we'll also need some of the human weapons to end this."
I let go of his hand and sit in a ball, wrapping my arms around my body.
"Then what's your plan?" I ask in a low voice.
"For now... we need to keep moving, keep appearances. I don't know if I'll be able to turn the rest of the team around, they would do it for payment-" I hiss at his words.
"We don't need them!" We don't need anyone who doesn't fight for what's right.
"Anatuat, maybe having them by our side wouldn't be so bad... I'll try to throw the idea around and if I see that they're not into it then I won't insist, and we won't need them" he says.
My tail is slashing furiously around.
"And then what? say we have or don't have them, then what? How are we supposed to take down everything they're building?"
He scratches the back of his head, maybe he's reconsidering what not wanting Pandora to end up like his planet really meant.
"If we don't have them then we'll kill them. We need to keep moving and meanwhile, I'll try to gather all the information about the construction and other plans they have okay? then we'll reach Sully and offer him an alliance" He says everything so sure of himself... he almost makes me think that it will really be that easy. Almost.
"If I see that your plan's not working... then you'll have to let me go and look for Jake, we have to gather all the clans" I insist. Miles sighs but ponders the idea and slowly nods.
"I promise I'll let you leave if that happens," he says, I purse my lips and then accept it.
"It's gonna be difficult right?" I ask finally giving up and scooting closer to him.
"We need to be really careful, if any of them finds out we could end up dead," he says wrapping an arm over my shoulder.
"Please be careful when gathering all the information, don't be too obvious when tossing the idea of revolution around" I plead to him.
He smiles a little and gives my arm a squeeze.
"I will be, trust me," he says and leans down to give me a kiss.
I never knew I needed him... I didn't know what him kissing me would feel like and now I wish we had more time, I wish we were free to do this as often as we wanted to. I wish I'd met him under different circumstances, but I have to stop my mind, because this is the present and right now we have something important to do.
"I don't want to go back yet" I say near his lips. He grunts in response and I hope that he won't make me anyways.
"And what would you want to do instead?" he asks with a smirk as his finger trails the path from my neck to my collarbones. I bite my lip.
"I wouldn't be mad if we do it again," I say moving to sit on top of him, his hands resting on my hips.
"Me neither," he responds and pulls me forward for a deep, hungry kiss. We bond again and this time we try to feel each other even more if that was possible.
On our way back I can still feel him inside and on top of me, even the thought of it makes my blood rush and my heart race. His hand is firmly intertwined with mine until we are back in my cell.
"I'm sorry for this, I'll get you out of here as soon as I can. Okay?" he says looking around the almost empty cell.
"Okay. Let's make the plan work" I say and smile a little.
"I'll see you in a couple of hours," he says placing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Until then," I whisper. He gives me one last tender kiss.
"Until then," he whispers back to me.
I slide down the wall and rest my forehead on my knees.
What have I done? What are we doing?...
Getting caught means we're dead, doing nothing means I and almost everything and everyone I love will be dead... this is the most dangerous and important thing I will probably do in my life... but I'll do it.
I rest my head on my pillow and fall asleep to the memories I have from the last great war, when Jake, Neytiri, and all the clans united to get the sky people out of here.
In the back of my mind, I know that what will be best is if Miles let's me go and I tell them so that Jake can gather all the clans again... but I'll be patient, if just for a little while.
