The wrong star

War preparations

Today's a good day. Well, that's how I feel when I look at all the warriors that are gathered here to help us.

Tonowari talked to various villages from the sea and some from a little further and explained them how things are, not only the mission to defend this place... but the fact that they will have to protect all of Pandora.

Right now there are warriors from two neighbour islands at the east of this village and they are showing some of the men and women here how to fight like them.

Miles is in a combat with someone else, like the Metkayina, they fight with spears but theirs have sharp points along side three big sharp blades made from filed seashells.

They taught some of the technique to the people in the morning and now they are practicing, I notice that Miles is enjoying this a lot. There's a grin in his face an a sharp determination and focus in his eyes that makes it hard to look away, like he is sure of everything that his opponent will do and he's just here for fun.

The warrior tells him to take some distance and then they'll start the combat. Miles does and moves the spear around his hand like he's done it millions of times before, I can't help but keep looking at him. They warrior indicates that the combat will start and Miles adopts a more defensive position.

He looks his opponent up and down and takes a stance, the opponent doesn't really want to attack first but Miles snickers and then the man attacks, Miles is fast and dodges the spear, then blocks another hit with his own. 

They move in a messy spiral of bodies as they defend and try to hurt each other with the spears, they roar as the intensity grows and they can't help but both be defensive, Miles kicks the legs of the warrior and fast like a flash kicks him away then inmovilices him and holds the spear above his head, there's sweat on his forehead and his tense from the fighting, but I can't help but think that he looks hot right now.

The warrior manages to hurt his arm even like this and Miles hisses getting of, then the warrior it's about to hit him with the spear but Miles stops it with his own, it's a fight between who will be the one to be able to hold longer. Miles muscles are not shaking yet, his arms are powerful and he holds steady, I see that he examines his opponent, looking for a way to defeat him but the warrior ends up being not that strong and his arms quiver under Miles's force, collapses to the ground and holds up his palms as surrender.

Miles sides smiles and offers him his hand to stand up, when he does he gives Miles a nod of aprobation.

I notice that Jake and Tonowari were looking at the combat from the distance and Jake scuffs when Miles wins but doesn't say anything else. Tonowari seems to recognize Miles's strength.

"Your turn," Miles tells me coming close to me and now it's my time to laugh.

"They will go at me with no mercy, I rather use something better than a spear like my axe," I say, my hand reaching back to take it out and circle it around my hand a few times. Miles hates when I do that.

"Well, learning a little bit of everything is not a bad idea," he says.

"No, but you haven't seen me with two axes. I don't need anything else," I say and he raises his brows, a big grin on his face.

"That's hot," he murmurs making me smile.

"Still, try to not use them too much okay, at least not from a close range, you can still use them from afar right?" he asks.

"Miles... I can fight," I say, he raises his palms up.

"I'm not saying that you can't, I'm just saying that you have to be careful and them being as far from you and your body as possible would be best, don't you think?" He asks tilting his head.
