"How have you been? I know a bit from what Emma said, but how have you been its been almost seven months."
"Happy to be out," I search my bag for leftover fries.
Freya looks over cautiously.
"Oh, I made you something" I go through my small bag of things and pull out this small crocheted bag.
"Its beautiful Hope" she smiles trying not to cry the tears in her eyes and she reaches her free hand over to hold mine.
We sat silence for almost ten minutes and she just held my hand.
"I'm sorry"I whisper after minutes of this chilling silence.
"Its not your fault Hope, you were in pain." She says still looking at the road infront of us .
I know what she's doing because I have been known to the same thing. She's been almost completely zoned out for the entire car ride. She's been do focusing on not crying or breaking down.
When we reach the compound we both get out of the car and I run over to hold her hand. I'm not sure who it was more for. Freya smiles and gives me a tight side hug and then she opens the main door.
" Welcome back hope" Rebekah runs up and hugs me energeticly " Kol and I baked you a cake."
Kol vamps in with the cake. " I made the frosting" he cheerfully exclaims.
" Give her some space" Freya pushes them both back with a somewhat hostile tone.
Keelin walks in with nik rested on her hip.
"Babe why don't you take a nap you were up all night with Nik." She hands Nik over to an eager Rebekah.
Freya shoots her an unsure look,
"I'll help Hope settle in don't worry about it get some rest." She reassures her and Freya makes her way up the stairs.
"Are you hungry,for dinner?Should we go out? Do you want to play a board game?" Rebekah anxiously lists
"Can we go outside I missed the backyard."I set my bag by the door.
"Yes sure we can" Rebekah jiterly ( I'm creating words now) walks outside with Nik and we all follow her out. As soon as I get onto the grass I lay down.
"I missed this" I grin rolling around in the grass.
" But you missed me more right" kol lays down next to me.
"Hmmm I'm not sure" I joke.
" You little Smurf" he gets up and throws me over his shoulder and runs around the yard. I laugh so hard I almost lose my breath.
"Put her down Kol" Rebekah laughs.
"Not until she tells me she missed me the most." He grins wider than I've seen in a long time.
"At least stop shaking her shes going to get a headache." Rebekah carves the cake with nik on her hip.
"Ok Bex" he pulls me over his shoulder and holds me upside down
"Thats not what I meant Kol" she yells and Keelin laughs.
---------------Rebekah & Keelin----------------
" Hows Freya been" Rebekah looks up at Freya's window.
"Better" Keelin takes Nik and lets him trip and run to Hope and Kol.
"Thats good" Rebekah looks over at Hope.
"I think she just needs a little more time" Keelin sits on a patio chair.
"I hopefully thats all it is" she hands Keelin a slice of cake. "She took it very hard."
"Everyone took it very hard,but I know what you mean." Keelin looks up at their bedroom window. "I'm worried hope will find out how bad it was when she was gone she doesn't need to worry about that." Keelin picks her cake apart with her fork.
"You're the best! You're the best I missed you the most. I swear" Hope cries out while Kol jumps around holding hope upside down while Nik pokes at her face.
"You hear that Bex" Kol grins and puts Hope down
"Hope Hope did you miss me more than Uncle Kol." Nik giggles
" Of course I missed you more" I smile at him.
"You little traitors" he yells chasing after them.
"Freeze tag" Nik giggles running away from Kol " that means every one plays" he stumbles over to Keelin and Rebekah.
"He is four every one keep that in mind" Rebekah glares at Kol before joining in.
" Why did you look at me" kol asks chasing Rebekah down.
"Because you act like a dog that doesn't know its own size" Rebekah narrowly avoids him.
"I'm going to tag you just for that" Kol chases Rebekah onto the porch. "You're cornered now" he laughs.
Rebekah looks around and then picks up a piece of cake and throws it at kols face and runs off the porch.
"How dare you" he grabs a piece of cake and chases after Rebekah who picks up hope and uses her as a human or well.. tribrid shield.
"Hey" Hope wipes the frosting off of her face,but before Rebekah can apologize Kol has another piece of cake and she takes off.
"Come on lets get her" Kol hands hope a piece if cake and Keelin and Nik grab a piece to throw at her as well.
Rebekah runs in circles for almost ten minutes before she is worn out and then she is absolutely covered in cake.
"This is really good icing Kol" Rebekah licks it off her lips.
"Yeah Kol" Hope nods
"Does everyone want to watch a movie after we clean up" Kol licks the frosting off of his fingers.
" Yeah" Hope says taking off her hoodie.
"Good, I'm picking the movie." Kol grins and Rebekah audibly groans.
"Hope you've unleashed a monster" keelin says openning the door.
