I walked through the plain, empty corridors of the school. I wasn't late, I never really was; thanks to our bus driver. But sometimes I just want to curse at the bus driver because whenever I reach, almost all the classes are almost empty. Contempt: one of the emotions I felt whilst walking through these barren corridors.

I couldn't help but wait for him to come. I didn't want him to remain concealed from me like this anymore, I'm sick of it, and I can't help with getting rid of this.

I sat on the third row's second bench.

The last time I saw him was a week ago; on a dark, moonlit night, twinkling like the beautiful stars in the night sky. There was just one difference—those stars were in the sky, and my star was right in front of me, on the ground.

I abruptly began to recall past occurrences and realized that after I saw him, I had no problem with feeling down or out of sorts, because the darkness is needed to see the star.

My star.

I was never such a poetically-dispositioned person, but he made me become one. He's definitely the rainbow in my sky. He surely is.

My thoughts were interrupted when my friend—Kim Su-ji entered the class. She's Taehyung's sister. My face lit up, not only because I finally wasn't alone anymore, but that also might mean that Taehyung has come today. I'm not sure, but at least there are chances.

"Hey," I simply stated, as a try to grab her attention.

"Hi. How're you?"

"I'm fine. Has Taehyung come today?"

"Yes, he has. His first class is History, however, so that is why he's not here," she placed her bag on a desk nearby.

"Oh," I mumbled lowly.

"Why? Is it something serious?"

"No, nothing much. Just... the teacher told me to give my notebook to him so that he could do the pending work."

"Alright. Just give your notebook to me, and I'll give it to him."

"Uh—uh, I will give it to him myself. No thanks."

She eyed me suspiciously.

"Y/n, answer honestly. Do you like him?"

"Him?"

"I'm talking about Taehyung, Y/n. You know it already."

"Nope, nothing like that. What made you think so?" I tried to act as smart as possible, although I was lowkey having a panic attack.

She sighed.

"Uh—just leave it. Anyways, have you completed your Maths homework? I have to copy it. Actually, I didn't get time to complete it," she grinned cheekily.

"You shameless little sock! I'm giving it to you only because you're my friend, or I would have straight up ignored you!"

"Now that's mean," she pouted dramatically. I giggled.

"Just take it," I gave her my notebook after taking it out from my bag.

"Aight, aight. Are you sure you've done all the questions correctly?"

"Yup, I've checked 'em all from the back," I assured.

"Okay, thanks."
