Mary tumbled out of bed slowly. The morning sunrise shined out her window, rubbing her eyes as she yawned and stretched her legs briefly, she opened her eyes and blinked a few times, trying to awaken herself fully, she turned off her alarm and put on her slippers to go downstairs.
She began walking out of her room, hearing her mother, brielle shout.
"Come downstairs! We have to hit the road in 10." Brielle shouted as she put Mary's breakfast quickly on a plate.Mary remembered quickly, it was the day of moving! She suddenly felt energized.
"I'm here I'm here!" Mary ran down the stairs, almost tripping, she sat down and ate her pancakes, and quickly finished, But soon after she made sure she had everything packed.
They had got in the car, Brielle started up the car. And Mary buckled herself in, and said. "Momm? how long is this car ride!" She shouted from the back seat. "Awhile, now be patient!" Mary huffed annoyed. But she soon fell asleep in the crowded back seat, her seat belt was uncomfortable but it would do for now.
they had arrived, Brielle opened the car door quietly, tapping Mary to wake her up and would say "we're here Mary!" Her awoken eyes gazed around, she shook her head and began unbuckling herself, carrying her bags to the new house.
She heard a strange noise from outside of the door, she had ignored it as it was probably some squirrel.
As they unpacked their stuff, Mary has heard the noise again.. she looked out the window, yet didn't see anything, and went back to unpacking.
Brielle told Mary to come eat dinner, she shouted from the kitchen "coming mom!" Mary said, she put a bookmark in a book she had been reading, and ran to the kitchen..
Her mother cooked Mac and cheese, her favorite! She ate it up quickly, as she put her dish in the sink, she heard the noise again! But closer.. she wanted to investigate this time.
"Mom! I'm going to check outside, I keep hearing something.." Brielle sighed, "don't go out there on your own, it's getting dark outside. It's dangerous Mary!" She yelled, and Mary begged. "Mom! Please!.." "no!" Brielle scolded.. "pleaseeee!"
Mary begged for round 15 minutes
"Fine! Just be careful." Brielle sighed, and closed the door behind Mary as she tumbled excitedly out the house, Brielle watched from afar.
Mary brought her flashlight, she looked around for a clear path to enter the forest in.
She found her way through the underbrush, leaves, trees and bushes, she crouched down until she finally found a clearing, she took a deep breath and gazed her eyes around the dark forest, but a flash of light races past her, she gasped quietly and jumped back, it was behind her now, about 30 feet away, she tried to figure out what it was as she slowly adventured towards it, but the horse galloped as fast as it could away, clearly scared.
She tried to take a closer look as it stood still, it looked.. hm, palomino? She took another step, and the horse looked towards her, this time it didn't run away. She took a few more steps, still nothing.. but soon after it walked off into the darkness of the forest, she heard its galloping hooves crunch the forest sticks and leaves.
She went back inside, a look of happiness and joy on her face she sat on her couch, her mom said from the kitchen.
"What did u see? Was there anything out there?" She waited for a response, Mary said. "I saw a horse.. it was palomino I think, It wasn't very trustworthy of me yet, but it let me get pretty close" Brielle looked surprised and said "be careful Mary, horses are very dangerous, they can kill you in a instant!" She preached, Mary nodded slowly. She headed to bed, she pulled her blanket up and went under, she drifted off to sleep and got comfy. Goodnight Mary, Brielle said.
